I compare my Chanel Classic Flap M/L to the Reissue Bag Small (225). I explain sizing (Chanel does not use the terms 225, 226 etc), compared to the classic flaps. For me, the Chanel Reissue is to the Classic Flap, what the LV Damier is to the Monogram Canvas = Understated. Because it's not screaming "look at me I'm Chanel" it could easily be mistaken for an "inspired" bag... only those in the know will realize it's an authentic model. And I love that. 👛 xx Thank you for this very detailed video -- well done!
NYCBrat I think the classic flap bags dont scream chanel either. Who dont know about chanel bags, dont know the classic and the 2.55 too

Great review Mel! This is the second time I've watched your video. I originally thought I was a classic flap girl, but when I got my M/L, I was afraid to carry it! When I purchased my Reissue, I couldn't put it down! I've come to the conclusion that I'm a Reissue girl 100%. I love to look at the Classic Flap, but I love to wear the Reissue.

Lovely video, very informative! I especially love your chevron reissue! I just purchased the same bag in black in the 226 size (unboxing on my channel). Absolutely loving this bag! Its good to see how it compares to the classic flap. I will likely do a comparison of the 226 to the boy, as those seem to be similar in size too.

The pink one is gorgeous! The first I have seen in the classic flap. I absolutely love everything about that bag. The color just for me makes the bag. I like it more than the classic black. They are all lovely though.

Hey Mel, thanks for such an informative video! I love the reissue (even more than the classic flap)! In my workplace and in my daily life, I tend to wear bags that don't have explicit/easily visible logos, and I think the reissue is perfect for that - it's classy and refined, yet understated. Also, I like the ability to wear it crossbody without having it sit at a weird length on my body. I might add a beige reissue with ghw to my collection, after having seen how beautiful yours is :) I currently have the small with black aged calfskin and ruthenium hw.
Hi lovely :) Sound like the re-issue is absolutely perfect for you then. Yes i love the fact that it can be worn both cross body and on the shoulder too. Yes do check out the beige as it was only released a couple of month ago so there should be some still around, the colour is even nicer in real life :) I'm hoping one day to add the black with ruthenium too xx

The 2.55 Reissue is designed to fold flat so it can be easily packed in luggage.

My tiny bit of reservation is the leather, I was not a big fan of distressed leather but it seems to grow on me slowly. Hey babe! Yes I know exactly what you mean as I was originally only a classic flap girl. However I really do honestly love the re-issue so much. The distressed leather actually is so beautiful and you don't need to worry about scratches too! The re-issue does also come in caviar, metallic leather, suede etc but i honestly love the distressed calfskin the best. Def one to consider hunnie xoxo

Hi Mel! Love your videos they're quite helpful! I have a vintage classic single flap jumbo in black that I have had for years and have retired it because it's well worn but still loved! I recently purchased a reissue in the 226 in a bronze that I adore! I have to say I love them both the same and for different reasons. I am looking to make my next purchase in a 225/226 reissue chevron so black. What a gorgeous classic but modern take on the reissue! 😘

Hi Mel, I have been enjoying your videos. You are a natural at it.. I just took out my reissue 226 that I purchased in London Jan 2014 in the metallic pink champagne colour ( don't remember the exact name of shade) and checked the bottom of my bag as I don't remember it having a soft folded bottom. (I hardly use the bag due to the colour ). The bottom of my bag is pretty stiff similar to my jumbo. Could the soft foldable bottom be a revised version or only applies to distressed leather? Anyhow I am heading to the Chanel boutique later to ask. Just thought you may be interested to know. Have a lovely day😀

Hi. I saw the reissue in beige quilted leather today and it's so pretty. Althought originally I was looking for the chevron pattern but now I'm torn. I'm more of a classic girl but the chevron looks so good on the reissue. Any suggestions which one to get? :) Thanks. P.S. I feel the same. I wasn't into the reissue before but after a while it grew on me.

Bijou in French means jewellery which describes this chain pretty well because it is only metal and it comes in different colors and some intricate work on it.
And you can also, for the reissue, wear the handbag as a clutch and wrap the chain around your wrist to give the illusion of a bracelet.
