  • Inspired by Drew Fisher's sander flip cart ( • Shop Work: How to make... ) and Steve Ramsey ( • SHOP TOUR. My biggest ... ) and April Wilkerson's ( • DIY Mobile Miter Saw S... ) mobile miter saw carts, I built this mobile planer/miter saw flip cart.
The two tools are within a few pounds of each other so they compliment each other well. It's constructed out of 3/4 ply for the body, 1/2 ply for the wings with some superfluous walnut for edging.

    Peter,
I i’ve watched every single UA-cam video on flip carts and your interpretation is without a doubt the best combination of everything I’ve seen. I love the way you handled the flip-up platforms and you’re locking mechanism with the doors is Ingenious. I am now building a workbench that incorporates my table saw, router, planer and miter saw and I was just at the point where I had to finally decide how to handle the flip cart section when I saw your video. Great job of incorporating the ideas of others and providing improvements. Thx for posting this.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. Glad to hear that it was helpful (despite being a short video). Sounds like I should do a more thorough video on this.

A Few more details on any hardware you may have used to connect to flip up tables or any tips you may have had about lining up the squares on the back of the locking doors would’ve been helpful. Mostly just to save time. Anybody watching your video that’s interested in duplicating efforts can pretty much figure it out. Thanks again.

Holy moly! This is absolutely the best flip top cart I have seen AND I WANT TO SEE SO MUCH MORE!!!! The two tools that take up the most space and you have put them together. You're a genius, I would love to see plans or a build video or a detailed walk-through! Well done Pete! 👍 🤘

I don't have formal plans. Just a SketchUp drawing. I'll try to post the sketch somewhere when able.
