I had an incident in Stamford Ct. wherein when I was with the arresting officers they were being very kind and telling me thank you for being so calm and obedient and that it would be good for me in my court appearance. However, when I met with my attorney before my appearance he had a copy of the police report and they had completely made up a whole different scenario painting me in a bad light.
They were not present and my Lawyer told me not to mention it to the judge as it would not go over well. He told me that police there in Stamford always embellish their reports. Thankfully Stamford is a small town and my lawyer ultimately had been in practice there for over 20 years and he got my case dismissed rather easily.
This type of police abuse is much more prevalent than beatings and killings. In most cases it brings the local Courthouse a ton of revenue from falsified police records making the victims pay more serious fines and higher court costs. Besides maybe a stiffer sentence for the victims as well. The corruption runs deep, way over our heads. This dude is lucky there are so many cameras around these days as he was almost a victim.

Exactly, you have to question every other case he has brought against anyone. I think it's interesting that the defendant went around and tracked down this footage proving he was innocent. The police didn't find it - if they had, I bet it would have been hidden. I have always been very respectful of police, and they have always treated me kindly, but I've seen too many of these cases on youtube to have any trust in police - they scare me! Personally, I believe he is just lying to try to cover himself, but since he made an official statement that his perceptions can be so severely altered by stress that he cannot differentiate between a man standing still for 30 seconds or charging at him with clenched fists it means that, if true, no one would be safe from him. Officers should be held to much higher standards, because the power they have demands it. There should be routine psychological evaluations and those who fall short should be let go.
