I was thinking I had to settle for a new KLR due to my height. Not that the KLR's a bad bike, but I really LOVE the styling and endurance of the little Himalayan, as well as the available colors. The shop has both the red and the granite black, so this is going to be a very hard choice! Thanks again!!!
@@OlManRonin it's a little tight for my knees where the tank ridge sits, and the shift/brake pedals needed to be modified, but all in all, everything fits well. We're picking them up on the 20th. Black bolts, cool, hey why stop there,
I see silver bolt and I have to paint it black, no colour anymore I have to paint it black,,,
Have you ridden 2up? I'm 6-3 and will be living in the Philippines. My wife is 5-2. Is there good preload adjustment? Did you upgrade rear suspension? Thanks
I have two videos on 2 up!!! And we're similar size. Cheers
Just checked them out. Thanks
@@barryhawkins309 my pleasure
Another great vid! I'm 6 foot, if I remember correctly from another vid you're around that height(?), how do you find the front racks in terms of knees hitting against them. Deciding whether to get this model or wait 5 months for the newer model with more knee room. Is it an issue for you?
I'm 6'2" tall and my knees clear them by a good few inches. My knees just protrude about an inch past the tank cutouts. If i slide back and jam my ass against the pillion seat I can tuck inside the tank dents easily. Your mileage may vary if you have bean pole legs
@@mattyb7736 Who told you about my bean pole legs?!... Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it.
@@zanotron the newer models have the same tank dents, all they appear to have done is shorten the frames around the tank. I have removed my peg inserts, knees fit the tank perfectly now.
I love your beard man you should have some moustache it will be really cool.
lol thanks. facial hair changes with me like a woman's hairstyle lol
Does this bags fit well on the new 2022 front rack
I'd would ask Hitchcocks to be sure, but I don't think so
@@OlManRonin Asked them, they said the bags will fit both old and new front rack configuration.
Can you tell me if the battery tender is 12V@0.75 amp or the 12V@1.25 amp...thank you!
.75 I would personally not use the 1.25 but that's just me. and super thank you for watching
@@OlManRonin thank you! I finally picked up my Himalayan yesterday!!!
@@michaelchristopher2549 Thats awesome congratulations!!!!!!!
Your chain, my god your chain.😳
Yeah road salt raises hell on chains. I clean and lube it weekly and nope rust comes back. The damages of a year round rider.
Wait. What about that windshield ?
What about it
@@OlManRonin is it aftermarket ? Who makes it ? I'm being told, that all clear one is not stock.
@@martykasa7864 oh lol no its original oem I won't get a higher one. The stock is just fine for me
@@OlManRonin I see...
@@OlManRonin ... not the height, but the lack of the silver, on the lower half...
Your chain's is not lubed
it was until Ohio salt roads ... daily clean and lube in the winter
@@OlManRonin yeah rock salt is a bitch on motorcycle parts, makes you wonder if a belt drive would be useful
@@kevindarkstar issues with belt drive are rocks. they snap belt quicker than hor knife through butter ask me how I know lol
Crap, I slept in and missed this! Blame the second dose of the microchips... 🥱😴
Tough night?? ;)
@@OlManRonin I've had worse... 🥃🤪
Like the "mods." I see you're in Ohio. I'm thinking of moving to the south east of Ohio.
Awesome there are great roads here. Where are you now.
South west Georgia. FLAT, HOT IN THE SUMMER AND 99% farm land. I love Georgia....but the dang heat of summer.
another great video
I like Hitchcock's
but I don't like those those bags
I really think they are NOT of very good good quality
they are not waterproof
the zip zippers are NOT the best quality (not even 50% of the quality that should be on a motorcycle)
I bought them and put them on and then took them off
please be careful when putting bottles of water or a dozen eggs eggs in there because I'd be afraid the Velcro, the way it is stitched.... IT WOULD TEAR fairly easily
I would have rather paid more for something of higher quality
not even sure I will use them
kind of sad about them, actually
you know how much i love your channel
had the first service done on mine yesterday
she's a wonderful bike
please take care
well like I said, they're for knocking around. ;)
@@OlManRonin maybe someone will make a waterproof, more rigid variety one day. i'd like that. you carry water/fuel at times... so, of course won't need them then. always appreciate your replies. have a wonderful day
@@Gregs_World there is. its from Lomo out of the UK out of stock until Late Spring ;)
@@OlManRonin I was unaware of that. Thank you for the education. Will you be getting that when they are available?
