I have a classmate at school who wears a Hijab and one time she caught me staring at her. I had to explain to her that I was staring because I love Hijabs and the beautiful colours hers had that day. From that moment and then we became best buddies! 😂 Worth it!

My friend asked me what's wrong and I said I think a bug bit me. she laugh and she was like oh I think my pin prick you when you hug me. lol I learned the hard way. 😅

+Jezz _ no it's okay I've got two lobe piercing and two cartilage since forever and I've just gotten my nose pierced like a month ago. to be honest though i was skeptical at first and i looked into it and it was never mentioned whether piercings are haram or not but most muslim women i know have piercings (or at least the ones i know )

I'm Egyptian and me and all of my hijabi friends chose to wear it and i have several other friends who don't wear it (also their choice) actually let me tell you something quite shocking, many of my friends FOUGHT their own parents so they would allow them to wear it because their parents are against it.

Actually, we feel the same as those who don't wear it (by experience) .and when standing in the sun.. It is like putting an Umbrella on ur head...it protects you and ur hair!

Those do seem like rude questions, but one question does seem very legitimate. What is the point of coloring your hair? The only possible reason I could think of is just to experiment and see what you look like for a quick giggle, but since no one else is ever going to see it, repeatedly dying your seems strange.

There is no compulsion in Islam. NO ONE is allowed to force a woman to wear a hijab. A woman does so out of love for God and respect for her religion. And to those fabricated claims made my non Muslims who say "men can touch a woman if she takes off her hijab", here's a hadith for you - "(To men) it is better for you to have a nail driven in your head than to touch a woman that is not permissable for you." Men are INSTRUCTED to NOT touch ANY woman and if they do so, they face the wrath of punishment.

Jamie Forrest - If you're truly concerned about women being oppressed then you should be quite well-versed on how important it is for women to choose how they dress - whether that means covering up more or less than whatever anyone personally thinks is the correct amount. Women should be free to wear whatever they want - whether that means a hijab/habit or a string bikini/no shirt or anything in between. =)

I'm a Muslim. People in my school wear scarfs. I wonder "how do they have the courage?" "How do they still look pretty?" "How can they be bold enough to have the confidence and not care what other people think?" I don't wear scarfs because I'm afraid that people will judge me and make fun of me. I look in the mirror for hours and cry because I'm not pretty like other girls. But now, I feel like I shouldn't care what other people think. People Wear scarfs too, why shouldn't I? I have a bit of self-esteem and the slightest bit of confidence, that I look good in anything. I just.....don't know anymore.....

I didn’t like wearing the hijab but i put it around my neck when I am at school but I did start to wear it, people didn’t question me but when they do I answered them. Don’t be low of yourself, allah created you, you are beautiful no matter what. And btw you Shouldnt care what people think, you are doing this for yourself. It doesnt matter what people think, they are not going to send you to jannah.

May Allah(swt) make it easy for you. I started quiet late due to similar reasons (people used to love my hair so covering was hard) but many of my friends helped me through and I used to mix and match colours to still feel trendy and stuff. But Alhamdulillah now I dont need those things and I even go full on abaya many times😊

Something I don’t understand is why many religions enjoy criticising Islam and the fact the women wear the hijab.
For Christina they believe Jesus is the son of God however they do not believe in wearing a headscarf (which is totally okay.) however Mary had worn one and a long black dress covering her body. Her and her friends which is seen in stories and is said in the bible.
Sikhs wear a scarf and appropriate clothing in their Gudwara to show respect to their Gods but don’t wear it outside because, what’s the point of wearing a scarf when God can’t see you right?
In many religions wearing a scarf is said and shown somewhere in the cultures however from what I’ve witnessed only Islamic people wear it.

In response to your second paragraph, I'm assuming "Christina" is supposed to be "Christians". Mary, the mother of Jesus, did wear a head scarf because she was Jewish. Culturally, married Jewish women would over their hair, similar to the hijab. Also, black would not have been worn by Mary because of her economic status. Only the extremely wealthy were able to afford to dye fabrics such dark colors. The process was labor intensive, the ingredients for the dye were hard to find, and it took a lot of time to do properly. That's why many people's clothes were various shades of white or natural wool/linen. Some dying was easy to do, but not much. Mary would have been too busy to purchase or dye fabric black. In the present, married Jewish women still cover their hair as a sign of respect for their marriage. [Note: some Jewish women cover their hair by wearing a wig, which is seen as a perfectly acceptable means of covering hair.]
