Meghan Leathers hemm let me think, before fasting we eat until dawn, after break dawn we pray and do the things that we need to do or go back to sleep. I don't know, somehow when fasting on Ramadhan we got a magic power. I cannot really explain it, you just need to try it. celestial its not Ramadan yet. But Ramadan Mubarak! And you don't have to categorized yourself. You are a human and that's enough for me. I have Christian friends BTW.
honestly, respect for muslims who survive ramadan. us jews have full day fasts, but surviving a month when you can only eat before sunrise and after sunset is very impressive.
See, this is the kind of jewish people I allways say exist to my friends, ans that they're not all this... hateful thing many Muslims imagine. Thank you and, God bless you man! Eid mubarrak to all!
I respect Muslims but I don't think The Redeem Christian church of God get enough recognition. we begin each year by fasting which means we don't eat at all until 7 pm at night and that is for people who break their fast. some people don't eat for three days straight but have to break for medical reasons. we do this for the specified amount of dates. last year was 100 days but this year was 40 days. Happy end of Ramadan for Muslims though.
@Idk It is not exactely like that We stop eating and drinking when the sun rises And when the sun sets we can eat and drink again until the next sunrise And this goes on for a month
One time my classmate, Arslan. He’s fasting right now, and he was really thirsty in class so he drank some water. After like one millisecond, he’s like “OH CRAP!” ran to the paper towels and he started rubbing the paper towel on his tongue trying to.. well wipe it off 😂

I'm not Muslim, but I'm an Arab. It's just Eid Mubarak. The congratulatory, celebratory element is in "Mubarak." But yes, Eid Mubarak to all the Muslims
You see I'm so hungry because yesterday my mum woke me up and told me to have Suhoor before we start fasting and I told her oh no need I already ate. The problem is I don't remember anything of what I said. Today she told me that's what I said during Suhoor and that I was totally awake and sitting down and when I was speaking my eyes were full circled and big. I guess I was sleep walking and just spoke unconsciously. 🤦♀️Even other days than Ramadan that happens to me. Wow and now I'm starving from hunger.😅
Hannah Hill the correct terminology is "Muslim Friend". Islam is the religion, Muslim is an adherent of the religion, knowing "little" things like that mean a lot because it shows you are invested in actually learning about our religion.
Wait till you have kids and they try to put all of their food in your mouth , and then you have to explain again why you don't eat 😂 but they feel sad for you and try to force you 🤗 I love my babies
We definitely do not like having our period during Ramadan. I wanna go the whole month fasting but I have to take a 5 day break which absolutely sucks.

Yes of course! You should take the shahada at your local mosque if you'd like to seriously convert. You'll get to meet fellow muslims that was as well :)
you can absolutely fast the month of Ramadan! there are plenty of websites that tell you what breaks your fast. you should also be able to find a prayer timetable (so you know when to start and stop fasting) for your particular location because it varies from city to city and timezones. ramadan kareem :)
Yes of course! Fasting is about self discipline, devotion, self reflection, and appreciation. We love to see fellow community members trying out Islamic customs. Even if you can't fast the entire day, the self satisfaction you'll gain for just completing half a day is extremely rewarding.
Chiara Greco it's not really that hard unless u live in northern regions of europe where u fast for like 16-20 hours, u get used to it, why don't u give it a try?

*Excited when you get a period*
Unfortunately, you gotta payback (Fasting in other month)
Alez O yh we hav to pay back but we can do it in winter wen the days r shorter and it still counts
I am repaying it now in December.
Lol, I am fasting right now because of this reason.
I know right it’s my biggest fear
Good thing I'm a boy
Although I am not a Muslim I certainly appreciate their willingness so sacrifice. You go guys!
appreciate the support lol
^thank you
Thank you!! :D
if only the world had more people like u
thank you :)
honestly, respect for muslims who survive ramadan. us jews have full day fasts, but surviving a month when you can only eat before sunrise and after sunset is very impressive.
See, this is the kind of jewish people I allways say exist to my friends, ans that they're not all this... hateful thing many Muslims imagine.
Thank you and,
God bless you man!
Eid mubarrak to all!
Awwh thank you and to you too ;)
I respect Muslims but I don't think The Redeem Christian church of God get enough recognition. we begin each year by fasting which means we don't eat at all until 7 pm at night and that is for people who break their fast. some people don't eat for three days straight but have to break for medical reasons. we do this for the specified amount of dates. last year was 100 days but this year was 40 days. Happy end of Ramadan for Muslims though.
Thank you so much. Do Jews fast for 24 hours straight?
And some places people fast for longer than 16 hours, but god I am to weak to do 25 hours
I'm so happy that buzz feed made a video for Muslims 😊😊
+Monera Kifai But hey dont´making one for Christians :/
+L S They have lots of videos about christians ( not complaining ) just it's never The case for us muslims to see a Video well about our religion
So am I!
Mariam Mimo
Im happy for you, but all the videos they did about christianity are hatefull...Christophob..
+L S I don't see any about Buddhists....I guess they don't care about us 😂😂
Friends: so you can’t eat anything?
Me: yes..
Friends again: nOt eVeN wAtEr?!
Me: 🤦♀️😑😶
@Idk yea then at night at certain time we can then we do it again and again
Idk lmao
Even funnier.. „not even a chewing gum????“
@Idk
It is not exactely like that
We stop eating and drinking when the sun rises
And when the sun sets we can eat and drink again until the next sunrise
And this goes on for a month
Well that doesn't happen to me cause my country is 100% Muslim #maldives

One time my classmate, Arslan. He’s fasting right now, and he was really thirsty in class so he drank some water. After like one millisecond, he’s like “OH CRAP!” ran to the paper towels and he started rubbing the paper towel on his tongue trying to.. well wipe it off 😂
God😂😂😂😂it happened to me too
Zainab's Art's & Craft's I’m aware, but Arslan thought it would break his fast.. so..
Zainab's Art's & Craft's nah it’s fine :P

Because they are similar but Christmas and Ramadan are really different
Your songs ❤ What is your proof of this happening lmao.
Your songs ❤ I like how your talking about the entire population like they all do it, smh when will you learn
@Your songs ❤ You can compare Christmas with Eid because they are both celebrations, but not with Ramadan

1:28 you’re supposed to pray everyday not just on Ramadan.
Correct
I was going to say the same thing😇
Exactly
doesn't it depend on how serious you are about your religion?
True! I was thinking the same thing!
Presenting: the Buzzfeed staff only called upon when they need diversity.
sophia K loool
sophia K ooooh burn!
sophia K true
You're implying that diversity is a bad thing,, which it really isn't? Honestly, I absolutely love diversity.
how tf am i implying that? I'm saying they are never seen on buzzfeed except for this video. Chill it honey.
This is true on so many levels 😂😂😂
animefangirl yup
Although, the praying at work, is ALWAYS!
Literally no one that i know is excited to get their period in ramadan. Instead we're all sad that we got it and wont be able to fast
hiba so truee 😲
Yeah we have to pay it with fasting while not in Ramadan
Yasmin Mufida yeah i know, im muslim :)
hiba btw how long do you fasting? Mine is 14 hours :)
Yasmin Mufida almost 16 hours and the temperature here is 41-46° C so its really hard.
AND WATCHING MUKBANG VIDEOS IN RAMATHAN AND LIKE MMMMM I WANT THIS SMMMM AND ITS TORTURE BUT I STILL WATCH SKSKSKSKSK
I watch them too! Especially during Ramadan. I think it's because we need to satisfy our own cravings. And somehow watching people eat does that, lol.
:) ignoring bad hateful comments, Happy Ramadan everyone~ ^^

But yes, Eid Mubarak to all the Muslims
Eid Mubarak!!!🎆🎇🎉🎊
Happy eid to you too 😊
:)
No you got it right and happy eid mobarak to you
You see I'm so hungry because yesterday my mum woke me up and told me to have Suhoor before we start fasting and I told her oh no need I already ate.
As a Christian, I fast for lent. I have an Islamic friend, and when either of us are fasting, we like to send each other encouraging texts!
It is people like you that keep my faith in humanity
Hannah Hill the correct terminology is "Muslim Friend". Islam is the religion, Muslim is an adherent of the religion, knowing "little" things like that mean a lot because it shows you are invested in actually learning about our religion.
And ruining it for all the Hannahs
Lmao
That's really cute :)
Wait till you have kids and they try to put all of their food in your mouth , and then you have to explain again why you don't eat 😂 but they feel sad for you and try to force you 🤗 I love my babies

The fact that I have my GCSE during Ramadan just makes it better!
Allah, please give me patience. Ramadan is literally a week away...
Quratulain Lakhani I had my A levels too during Ramadan this year and it was really hard but I survived
My parents didnt let my sister fast when she did her GCSES but she made up for it and fasted another month if that makes sense.
We definitely do not like having our period during Ramadan. I wanna go the whole month fasting but I have to take a 5 day break which absolutely sucks.
Hekla Eir why can’t you fast during your period?
+Alina Man no you can't
You can't fast when getting period, but you have to fast other days to change fasting that you skip when getting period.
Mine Mine but why? I fasted during my period (not Ramadan, a water fast)

For a non Muslim (14 year old boy wants to convert) can I fast with you guys? And happy Ramadan to all!🕋🕌
Yes of course!
Go right ahead!
Yes of course! Fasting is about self discipline, devotion, self reflection, and appreciation. We love to see fellow community members trying out Islamic customs. Even if you can't fast the entire day, the self satisfaction you'll gain for just completing half a day is extremely rewarding.
Of course you can . and happy Ramadan to you too :) :)
Everyone:*hurries cuz they are late for suhoor*
Me :*laughs cuz I don’t sleep until suhoor*

You guys are so brave. Seriously, I imagine how hard it can be, and no one should make you feel awkward about it :)
Chiara Greco it's not really that hard unless u live in northern regions of europe where u fast for like 16-20 hours, u get used to it, why don't u give it a try?
try hard mate,it will make you stronger
"Praying at Work"? You mean buzzfeed thinks Muslims only pray during Ramadan 😂
