    Very pleasant and nice, good job!
    Damn I love '90s and early '00s gear! 🤖

      Cheers man, yep that old gear certainly has a charm of it's own. I think some of the techniques they used to get the most out of limited hardware give them their own flavour.

      @@DocBolus Exactly. I think they are too recent to be fashioned but also too old to be state of the art. This reflects on the sounds, we are rebuilding our ears to accept '90s music as nostalgic and not just corny.

    i really apreciate this videos, cause in order to use this predigitaltouchscreendawless machines, you need a kind of special master degree next to a lot of years to learn how to programing it. God bless you

    Amazing video for an amazing sampler. So very under rated.

      Thank you. Was the first decent groovebox I ever owned and there are some really cool creative things you can do with this box of tricks. Newer stuff can do more but doesn't always do the same stuff better.
      Still go back to it every now and again.

    Do you think I can huck up a midi keyboard and use it as a sampling keyboard?

    • @DocBolus
      @DocBolus  3 роки тому +1

      You can definitely play via midi but I am not sure if it will play pitched tones like a sampler, the editing functions are a little limited so that might be an issue, but you have got me curious so I will do some experimenting.

      @@DocBolus Thank you! It doesn't matter if the editing functions are limited. My SK1 stopped working 2 months ago and I'm trying to finde something that will replace it. The fact that I'm blind makes it harder. This could be the one!

      Read the manual and spent a bit of time playing after work. This is not really going to do the job as it will not work as a pitched sampler. A MIDI keyboard can only fire off the individual samples. The only way you can change the pitch is by editing them on the machine itself.
      Why did this machine seem like a replacement for the SK1? If you let me know what it is you need maybe we can work out another instrument that would work for you?
