I enjoyed the amount of times he said 'bare bones', a very Night Lord-esque turn of phrase 😂
The narration of the narrative during this battle report is top notch. It really sold what was going on in-universe; I loved how terrifying the Leviathan came across as being, and as an IW player with two of them, this was enough to make even Perturabo slightly lift the corner of his mouth in an approximation of a smile.
I would love to play with someone so immersed in the rule of fluff and lore and narrative. I don't have that in my group, and often i have to let my own enthusiasm for that go. Need s new group really! Thoroughly enjoyed this and think it shows the hobby at it's best.

I’m so sorry Paul. This was not a good day for the Ultramarines. It was nice seeing you play Heresy, but as you said you need dedicated anti tank/ dreadnought. Also having some stuff that could churn through infantry like the despoilers would have been better to have on T1. Anyway, thank you so much for the amazing work as always. Have a wonderful day.

I love that you take the volkite support squad - loads of times im told they are not efficient, but im not trying to be i just like them! Heavy3 for a troops unit is decent!

Yessss. Ultramarines Strength of Wisdom are per model. Might of been me who pointed it out. I see people play it wrong all the time online. Good job! Have to ask though. Why is the Master of Signals not with a decent shooting squad? Seems strange to stick him in a terminator squad where he is useless.
He lets one unit anywhere on the table use the leadership of another model in the MoS's unit. In other words, I can use the Praetor's ld 10 on any unit I need to. Plus, his reserves rules work from anywhere too. I dont really take him for the cognis signum. :)
@SayHiPaul seems a waste. Your trading giving a full unit of guns nightfighting and +1 to hit for a ld10 instead of ld9 roll. He is built tor snipers or a hvy weapons team. :)
@@padanfain7466 I'd watch Paul's videos regardless of how he decided to write his army but I've always found the main charm is that Paul loves the narrative and fluff. He's never really been about maximizing the point potential of a force and running competitive lists. You're probably right about where the MoS is best utilized but from my understanding this was more of a civilian relief effort turned into a trap. Sometimes you have to work with what you've got and it's little things like this that help with the vision and story telling, don't you think?
@@TicTankToe30k both yes and no. The response was not a criticism, merely a suggestion or idea for future games based on my own experience of playing the Ultrmarine legion. I was impressed that they were playing the Ultrmarine legion rule corectly tbh.
