In 2018 in my area we got a message on our phones DONT DRINK WATER. Our water supply had blue algae in it. So I thought ok no problem I got on the phone with Berkey and talked to them, their water systems would NOT work against it. The city was sending out messages don't boil and drink, boiling it will make it worse. So we ended up traveling over 40 miles to a different area to get water all our local stores were out and if they had water they raised the price to over $20 a case. My point is make sure you know what your purification method will treat and what it wont.
I have 200 liters of potable water in storage. 165 gallons of rain water in the summer, for toilet flushing and even hygiene. Another 10 gallons of bottled water in storage. Plus the knowledge on purification of water. Some would say that 200 liters in storage is an amateur. Everyone starts somewhere. A friend has a 650 gallon tank of potable water.
Some lakes are so clean you can drink straight from them. Water purification tablets are apart of any survival kill. Kamodes/ portable toilets that dont use water you can buy online.🎋🧧
