This mod allows you to cancel almost any action state by inputting a light L/R press, essentially giving you a "Turbo Mode" in Melee.

Maybe it's because I spent so much time in Brawl, but this arrangement of Bramble Blast/Stickerb(r)ush Symphony always fills me with nostalgia. Also great transitions with the character selection screen going from one character to the next.
Didn't see much difference between the Ice Climbers clip and normal Icees...

1) Amazing music choice, good choice in using an extended version instead of using 2 songs
2) You did the impossible in getting Sheik's chain to work in a combo
3) A side video with SoPo would be cool
4) A side video using both Sheik and Zelda (instant down b) would be cool

Can someone explain to me how the end lag is cancelled on some of these moves, especially recovery ones?
In fact, it's the point of Turbo mode, you can cancel the end lag by doing another attack/jump

so are you canceling start up frames too? how does that work?
For some specials (character up-B's and certain projectiles), the startup frames are cancelled. But for other normal moves (like aerials and tilts), the start up frames stay the same.
@@banddgames gotcha, i was giving myself a headache trying to figure out how it would work if you had to manually cancel startup too. thanks!

So how does TAS actually work? It's always confused me. Does it just make moves completely lagless or is it computer controlled and showing us what peak Melee could actually look like? Theoretically possible things within the game engine? If it's the latter, it's an absolutely wild thing to think about and will never be achieved by humanity unless perhaps far in the future with physical modifications. Lol

What's letting you skip the startup of some special moves? Like the rapid fire teleports in the Zelda one or the side bs in the Fox one. I watched you make the first four characters live and we definitely didn't know anything about that at that point lmao.
Yeah it seems like if you cancel a special move right as it starts, then it cancels its starting frames. This allows for immediate up-B's and projectiles.
@@banddgames that's disgusting lmao. I'd guess it's because the startup is its own state, and it's always followed by the main chunk of the special move? So when you cancel it the game puts you into the main chunk?
