@@richcash550 Tbf it wouldnt really be close lol. A TAS Bowser would absolutely destroy Armada's Peach or Plup's Shiek, when you play absolutely perfectly like that a human just cant respond properly.
@@pac_rby It's a bit of an invalid premise, actually. TASes are just inputs a human put in in slow (or even stopped) motion and then played back. A TAS can't react to a live player unless the TASer somehow already knew every single input that the player made on every frame, and uh...with reads like that I don't think they'd even need TAS, lol.
@@pac_rby TAS bots are extremely easy to cheese at the end of the day it’s still a robot that can’t adapt Axe has beaten tas bot foxes

What happened at 2:36? How did falco end up over there?🤯
to me it looks like sheik threw him in such a way that the movement of the cloud made him clip through the wall, then she clawed him further into the stage with her fair
because there'd probably be no collision on the inside of the stage, he then jumped and up-b'd to the opposite ledge, clipping back through the wall in the process

I like how sheik at first was beating fox's ass off but then fox came back at the last stock and wiped the floor with sheik. It represents how in the early days sheik was top tier and was the strongest character until fox came and took the spot

What exactly am I watching, is it just a bunch of TAS matches or is it a tournament of some kind with some tool assistance?
This is a scripted TAS tournament. Alex and I choreographed the entire thing and TASed both characters for each match.

@@banddgames Very cool stuff by the way, I also have a question about 2:40. Sheik powershields the laser and then it looks like she immediately wavedashes the next frame. Even in 0.25x speed I don't see the jumpsquat animation, is it some kind of special wavedash/cancel?
I play Sheik in Ultimate so the Sheik bits were extra interesting to me
@@Bladieblah I think that’s just a result of UA-cam’s video compression or something. She definitely has her 3-frame jump squat, but UA-cam might have just skipped a frame or two at that point.
@@banddgames I figured it out, I forgot Sheik's jumpsquat animation in melee is not the same as in Ultimate, she just sticks to the ground for three frames until she gets off the ground. She still has some momentum despite powershielding so it looks like she's already wavedashing but it's just her jumpsquat

This whole tournament was decided because puff got the star ko off the rest and died first lol. Also icies would have been disqualified for freeze glitching falco in the first stock.
