People complain about the cancel into specials. Imagine how upset they'd be when in kof you can cancel something like a burning knuckle into a buster wolf. Or a power wave into a power geyser.

One reason why I love fighting games, cancelling attacks, but i’m not sure on the other hand with SF2: Hyper Fighting and SSF2: Turbo because I find it quite hard to link combos midair

Well, let's be real here. Only 2-3% of these combos are something you'd see in Smash. The rest were reminiscient of fighting games for a reason. But if the game is going to be about knocking people off platforms, quirky items, and random stages then, eeeh... I don't even care anymore. Yeah, it's the best fighting game ever made. A true arcade classic.
