    • @G-Rated
      @G-Rated Місяць тому +3

      @@jiggnfmTahoe has pretty much everything the Lincoln does, that’s Ford’s problem. They can’t play the same “we saved that for the luxury brand” game when most their sales will be Expedition. Navigator sales won’t come close to it. *gm* has a different story going.

    • @shanet7511
      @shanet7511 Місяць тому +2

      @usa1mac Nah, a diesel manual would be stupid. Modern diesels have far too complex, expensive to fun and unreliable emissions systems to make them worth it. That's why the GM suvs are already discontinuing the i6 diesel that they came out with in 2021. Also virtually nobody wants a manual in a soccer mom suv, it wouldn't be able to take as much power and a 6 speed manual still gets lower mpg than a 10 speed auto. Also the powerboost hybrid has wayyyy more HP and torques than the small ecodiesels.
      I however would *LOVE* a brand new Ford Excursion based on the current Super Duty lineup, add a full rear air suspension like the Ram 2500 offers with its coil spring rear end, and it'd be perfection.

      Will they though? Because the Explorer is doing well for them (three row midsized crossover), and so is the Bronco (offroad SUV), and the Everest fits in both categories. If they eventually do, will they build it in the US or Mexico? Will it eventually replace the Explorer if that happens?

    Hi Alex, this does seem more like a hard refresh instead of an "all-new" Expedition. The changes do align with the trends seen in the competition. If Ford continues with the shiny black plastic trim then car buyers will have to consider investing in an aftermarket clear wrap to keep scratching to a minimum. Overall, Ford made a few welcomed changes but the Expedition remains the same, no vehicle buyers will be shocked - except for the people who haven't checked sticker prices for awhile. Thank you, Alex. You're still the best reviewer in the business!

    Good review, except I think you made an error in regards to the 3rd row center section remaining higher. It is if you just power lower the smaller right side as you did. But I believe, hope, that the center drop down of the 3rd row is actually part of the larger left side seat, meaning the 3rd row is 60/40, but with a built in center section as a part of the 60 side that can be lowered, but if you leave that center section up and lower the larger left side both the left and center fold all the way down to be fully fold flat same as the right side. This had better be the case, for I won't get it if that center part when all of the 3rd row is down sits up higher so not a fully fold flat 3rd row.

    The space behind the third row wasn’t increased. The steering wheel controls will be annoying. Air suspension is still not available so the ride will still struggle especially with the 24s. Ford wont compete on the diesel front, but im surprised no hybrid, would of helped mitigate the abysmal mpg of this class of vehicle. Also really really not a fan of things like mirror and wheel adjustments being screen based, they all better be memory linked and that memory better not get lost in the event of a 12v battery dying. Just so many weird decisions, not even bad, just weird. I get getting rid of the button and stick for adjusting mirrors saved 1 dollar per vehicle, but at some point the penny pinching has to stop.

    For all the money they charge for these massive suvs you’d think they’d add projector LEDs instead of the inferior reflector style…especially with how high up these things are, to stop blinding oncoming drivers and for better visibility projectors would be very helpful.

      It's so funny how many people hate on it without ever actually driving it. Two comeptely different knobs, different spots, different sizes. If you can't dependably tell them apart you shouldn't be allowed behind the wheel of a vehicle

    Ford (and others) ARE going in the wrong direction. I mean, these are all really really nice, but they are also getting more and more expensive. It used to be that Ford was the value brand and if you wanted something luxury you'd go to BMW or Volvo, etc. They can keep innovating but they need to get their prices down. If its too expensive it won't sell well. Society needs value at this point in time.
