Artist: Gregory Wright, Daniel Acuna, Walt Simonson
In the future, the world is still haunted by “Hero Day,” a battle with the artificial intelligence Ultron that resulted in the deaths of many heroes. As a result of that fateful day, the original Avengers have been replaced by new heroes working for a totalitarian and corrupt government. Among this new breed of heroes, there is also James Stark, the son of Tony Stark and the Wasp. James was raised and mentored by Kyle Jarvis, who is actually the Red Skull in disguise, working with Ultron’s consciousness to secretly seize control of the world.
The elderly Steve Rogers was recruited by his old friend Luke Cage, who has formed an underground resistance called the Defenders, trying to take down the government. Steve agreed to retake the super-soldier serum and become Captain America once more, vowing to assemble the Avengers again.

"I am still a God, and you are a tin man caught in a lightning storm."
James got no idea who he's fucking with.
That's what happens when you try to punch a god
James Stark, just found out who has the more powerful friends.
Mess and find out
yeah i dont care who you are. unless you’re an Elder God with true omnipotence, i wouldnt be messing with King Thor
Damn that last line from cap hits hard
If they ever bring back the old marvel characters, it would he a good hype to assemble once again
“ what i always do in hard times… i prayed” dat two panels just scream im him
Thor came in like how Superman comes in lol
Just like in Wakanda, Thor knows how to make an entrance
Just read all 6 books. I don't buy a lot of new stuff. But this is so WELL written. Really good stuff. Brought tears to my eyes a few times.
And the art was beautiful
@@thatcomicsman Yes indeed!
"I prayed."
Amen brother
Goosebumps. If only the movies had writers this good.
Captain America not losing his faith really makes me happy with these writers. It's the best advice: In your hard times, pray to God and ask His Son to be your Savior.
You can watch the full story on my channel
Captain America has faith in people, not “god”… or at least not the one you’re referring to. Kind’ve hard not to have faith in Thor when you’ve fought alongside him.
This ending really bothered me because they easily could’ve gone for “I found friends”,
@@hirshja No. The original Captain American is very much Christian. His faith in people is an extension of that.
Y'all fr don't ever want Christian characters in stories @@hirshja
Atheist found. Wait no. TOXIC atheist found? What a piece of shit. I’m fine with an atheist, but being toxic about your beliefs? That’s low.
Thumbnail looking like spawn with mjolnir
with the cape and the rainy background, agreed
The art style reminds me a lot of Kingdom Come and I'm all for it.
Still haven't read Kingdom come, it's on the list.
It's amazing. You'll no doubt enjoy it.
Pity that Spidey got killed.... I hope he has kids in this timeline....
Nah,he just had an aunt 🤕 check part one for begining of the story. It's in the pined comments
Lore of The Powerful Avenger Returns to Help a RETIRED Captain America momentum 100
Don't care what anyone says. Captain America is the Superman of the Marvel Universe.
I think so too,he would never let anyone die and always tries to do the good thing. I will upload the full story tonight, 25 minutes video
It does seem to say Hawkeye not Bullseye on the strip, which would make more sense for the arrows?
She was Bullseye while she was working for goverment
Now I’m hoping Ben Riley assembles with them at some point
Vibes of Kingdom Come
One of my next videos
“I prayed” hit hard.

The series Avengers Twilight would be the mega movie I would end the series with the original cast. Story writing at its best and pulls at familiar heart strings like death of Spider Man and getting old while the world becomes a worse place. Not to ruin the ending if not read all six books - but Valhalla is a just reward and opens a new generation/cast to protect the rediscovered freedom lost to tyranny.
The ending was very good, especially the part with Banner
@@thatcomicsman It would also give Downey JR the greatest scene(s) of his career.
@@cruiseliner I think he already got it. The Avengers ending felt pretty satisfying
I’m a bit disappointed that they made James stark such a man child and so willing to be apart of red skull knowing full well he’s a Nazi. Also, why is it that the world “suddenly good” after beating ultron red skull? Wouldn’t the people continue to resist?
He didint always know, and he was bassically raised by the Red Skull. He was indoctrinated from a young age
"I prayed" is crazy
Iron man and the wasp had a kid
Yup,its in the video :D
What happened to antman, why did wasp go with tony and not antman?
@@Tinywarriorhippo This is not covered in the story. You can watch the full story on my page
Can someone tell me what's the title of the H-day run? I tried to look it up but all I get is The Avengers Twilight? I'd like to read the run of "H-Day". Please and thank you.
There is no story about the H-day,its just an event that happened during this story. They only mention it as a back story.Maybe they will make one in the future.
@@thatcomicsman Thank you, much appreciated. I think they should put that backstory pen to paper, sounds like it would be epic. And it could also spin off another story as to what happened in between from then to today's Avengers: Twilight.
Seeing what happened pre H-Day that led to H-Day and what happened on H-Day. Then do a follow up/spin off story showing what happened post H-Day that led to Avengers: Twilight story. Man, that would be a lot of ink and would last longer than just a 6 books series.
@@SKnight1968 Fingers crossed my friend. My next video will be the full story from Avengers Twilight, around 30 minutes video.
@@thatcomicsman That will make for a good video as I just finished reading all 6 books from that arc. In my opinion, they cut it too short, I would have liked an extra book or two, post Twilight sort to speak as to how the world changed/recuperated back from the oppressions they were under and further Cap's way of life and James' new attitude. I guess I liked this series so much because it shows that everyone has to grow old and adapt to physical and mental changes. Except for Thor of course, as he is immortal, and I loved how they brought him in the story, by Cap saying "I prayed", epic!
It wqs such a good run
Avengers twilight
yeah bro, check the full video,26 minutes long on my channel
You keep calling Hawkeye bullseye.
Because that was her name while working for the goverment. Thor and captain America started calling her Hawkeye once she joined their side
@@thatcomicsman Oh, ok. Thank you.
James stark no different than tony or howard.
