From what I can see, it is where one crochet's the trebles. Either singular or as double trebles. I kept going over the video and crocheting with the video. I got there in the end. Not my finest square. Good luck.
This video is not easy to follow my green colour is not looking how she does it. Why can’t other people make videos on how to do this ? Your just greedy trying to get more views on your channel. This is quite hard

How come your patch went from having loads of large gaps to only having gaps in an X shape?

The more the trebles builds up the more solid the square will be and the corner chains creates gaps which look like an ‘x’ when finished.
I’m going to have to restart this again 😢it’s just not looking right.
In your next videos instead of saying just repeat it can you actually show it.
