Thanks for the Video. It took me 3 hours. Tools needed was Ratchet, 10mm,14mm,couple of different extension lengths, 5/8 spark plug socket, a magnet to pull out spark plugs, pliers for clamps and a flat head for clips
Thanks for the super clear vid showing every step. I watched because I can't find any video on replacing cylinder 1 Oil supply solenoid valve and figured this video migh show the location. Is it the same process to replace C1 Solenoid valve? Thank you
@9:45 of this video at the button of my ratchet around the neck area that is OCV solenoid bank1, yes it is same process but more steps/ parts involve, you have to remove the valve cover to replace OCV. Thanks for watching.
My experience I had to re used the gasket once, after few days the car came back with vacuum leak. I strongly suggest to replace it. Thanks for watching.
I changed My 2016 kia sedona spark plugs and had to buy to different brand spark plugs Took it for a test drive and stopped at a stop sign and shut off on me now it won't crank no start😢 Could it be a crank shaft position sensor problem or ignition switch sensor idk their s a list of possibilities. I know the battery is good, and starter relay is good I knocked on the starter didn't work
Sorry to hear that, so technically no crank no start after replacing the spark plugs, since the engine won’t crank don’t worry about the crankshaft position sensor, under the dashboard on driver side you will see the IPM look for start fuse, you gonna need a test light, ground your test light then check the start fuse, if the your test light turn on while you try to start the engine then you’re ignition switch is good but if you’re test light did not turn on then you have a bad ignition switch.
@@JrTruther86 My experience was some vehicle who declined the recommend plugs interval will come back after few thousand miles due to misfires/failing plugs, then we recommend to replace all them but customers are responsible for extra diagnostics fee. My point is if you followed maintenance interval you don’t have to make another visit nor paying extra for diagnostic fee. Thanks for watching.
With it being such a taxing job, I’m honestly afraid of paying someone and then they don’t swap the rear plugs and just tell me that they did. That’s my biggest worry.
At 100K and don't know if my plugs have ever been replaced. Dealership wanted to do it but $600 was more than I can afford. Thanks for the tutorial.
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching!
I can see why it cost 600 😂
If I were you I would change the front 3 and ask them to do the back. The will charge less

The stud trick was very helpful, thanks man.
Yes indeed. Thanks for watching.
Those back spark plugs are hell to get to. Damn
Yeah, specifically with that hydraulic hose attached with intake manifold.
Yep. The auto builders make it as hard as they can for a normal person to do basic maintenance. Should be illegal
@@brandonlindsay9805 I couldn’t agree more.
El mejor tutorial que e visto hasta el momento bien explicado bien detallado 5 estrella para ti hermano excelente!! 🙏🏻
Great video thanks for doing the hard part of figuring it out for us. Do you have a video on how to change the fuel injectors on this same Kia Sedona?
Thanks for watching, unfortunately I do not have an injector replacement on Kia Sedona, I might film injector replacement someday.

Can you list the tools and parts used in this video?
Super helpful video! What size mm was your dowel pin?
The dowel size is 10mm. Thanks for watching!
What were you spraying out of that green bottle?
the fluid coming out from my green bottle is brake cleaner that you can purchase from your local auto store. Thank you for watching.

What is the torque for spar plugs ?
Is replacing the intake gasket mandatory? Or just a good idea?
My experience I had to re used the gasket once, after few days the car came back with vacuum leak. I strongly suggest to replace it. Thanks for watching.
@@WrenchingRyanAt what time in the video do you mention the gasket?
Wires not needed to be replaced at the same time?
wire/harness are not maintenance item, no need to replace them. Thanks for watching.
Question.... did you really need to remove the battery?
Yes, It will give you more room when removing the the intake housing assembly. Thanks for watching.
Doesn't that brake fluid you use damage? nothing just clean?

At what mileage should the Spark Plugs be replaced?
You can go 90k per book/interval but this engine has 58k miles in it, I strongly suggest to replace them at 60k.
@@WrenchingRyan Can you further explain why you suggest 60K?

I believe without hydraulic pump will be cheaper.

Really I can do that?
I thought I would just come off as big “A” hole. Thanx for the tip.
