I will be 1st in line to purchase the combo DVD/CD! As John said not many loyal fans got to see the 94 tour cos it really stiffed and Tommy and Nikki were taking there own cash to keep the train rolling as far as it could go. The video single 'Smoke the Sky' was shot for under 20 thousand dollars of band money and as Nikki said they decided to shoot it 'Gorilla Style' meaning raw intuition and balls out. That's what made the whole album so special and its funny that any true fan of the Crue will tell you to this day it was there best work they ever recorded. I listen to it at least twice a month and every single fucking time I always say it out loud it still sounds like fresh music cos it was way ahead of its time. John you are still the man and can't wait for the update release asap. Bless you brother and keep rocking!!!!!

John Corabi is an amazing singer. Vince Neil is also an amazing singer. The problem here is simply that you cannot replace an iconic sound with anything new if you want to keep the fans happy and spending. The ones to fault, if fault is even the right word would be the founding members of the Crue and their management. No one in the original lineup is replaceable. John - you did a fantastic job on the record you worked on. Congratulations - seriously! Anyone in their right mind (or otherwise) would say YES to being offered the chance to tour the world with an iconic band.

I think that is a pretty accurate point of view.

They should have called the band "Seattle Train". Because it was a record that showed the band had no musical center or core sound. It was about chasing trends with the Crue. But their fans should have realized that the day Theatre of Pain came out.

@@termsofusepolice your so right on about that. And I've been saying this for several years now. Nikki Sixx is the biggest bullshitter in the music business. He just looks for the marketing trends and tries to adapt. Everything from their music to the way they dressed to the lyrics to the way they behave is based on the popular trends within the industry. And the day John Corabi joined Motley Crue they lost that band, it became John Corabi's band for a time.

Corabi is class and without his work on both the '94 album and Swine, I would have missed out on something with Crue. You can tell his influence on Swine and just listening to him here, you can tell he exudes class. He was a good front man for them and he did it the right way. In my opinion, anyway.

I had the privilege of riding back to their show in the limo and getting to chat with John on the tour bus. Cool dude, and a class act for sure...As for the Vince/John debate. Here's my take on it. I'm a Crüehead and you won't hear this often if ever..Mötley Crüe is my band and I've supported them no matter who the lead singer or drummer is. A good comparison is I'm also a Broncos fan and there's this huge debate going with a lot of fans of who's better. Peyton or Brock. I think it's bullshit. I like both guys cause they're on my team. I root for whoever is playing QB for the Broncos as any REAL FAN would. Lead singer is basically the QB of the band and if you're a real fan you support whoever that is. Otherwise you're just a fan of the person.

John totally got a raw deal with the fans kinda like Gary Cherone did with VAN HALEN. I personally love the song Hooligans Holiday.

I appreciate both singers. It's motley. Through the years you feel the words grow as the band grew. Would be really awesome to see you both live on stage 2022 together. Both of you have different feels when you hear each other's voice. So neat. Thank you motley for always helping me get through my day. 5:45 a.m start work turn on motley.

I always enjoyed Motley Crüe but it was a nice dark difference from the years of Vince. I agree with John that you can't say who is the best but that album sticks in my library because it is a lot darker and Heavier than anything Crüe has done and will do.. Rock On John!!!!!

Vince neil is always gonna to be the crue singer hands down....but when it comes to vocals for a better singer Corabi is 10000 times better than vince ever was and ever will be!....and I am a huge motley fan

John is a better singer in the traditional sense....but it doesnt mean he was the better singer for Crue...Chemistry has a lot to do with it. Same with vanHAlen..hagar is a better singer in the traditional sense but David Lee Roth is and always will be the better singer for Van Halen...DLR was the perfect fit for VH and visa versa

John is a class act!!! That Crue album for me was THE BEST Crue album for me, I LOVE Crue, I loved them with Vince, but that Crue album was SO HEAVY!! I love Vince, and John, they are both very friendly to their fans, and just all around some of the nicest guys in Hard Rock.

Totally agree. His album with Crue is astounding. Raw, brutal and, in a lot of ways, he pulled the best out of the other members in the band in a way Vince couldn't. I like Vince's voice when he's at his peak but John is something different. Haters gonna hate but they would be better off just seeing that album as something DIFFERENT rather than better or worse.

Smoke the Sky and Till death do us part are the 2 best Crue songs ever and the self titled album was the best written Crue album ever. such a huge underrated album. true raw heavy metal. anyone that doesn't have that album, pick it up.
