    Can you please talk about having a preemie and pumping. I had an emergency c section at 30 weeks. I have been home for almost 3 weeks and I am struggling to increase my milk supply. My baby is being feed 28 mls every 3 hours and I can't meet the demand. Sometimes I only get 20 mls, and when I power pump for an hour, I get 60 ml. I have been power pumping for 4 days now, and I have not seen an increase yet. I have the medela symphony and bought the flanges that are my size.

    The lactation consultant I worked with for my last baby basically only recommended spectra and that was it even though it’s bulky and not portable at all.

    My Spectra S1 combined with my Legendairy Milk cups has been the best combo for me. But as you said, it sucks that I can't see what is happening at the breast. So, I can't watch what the milk is doing because of the cups. I have the Pumpables Genie coming this week so I hope that works for me!

    I have been struggling since I've gone back to work. I am making enough for my babe but I would like to be able to use the Elvie bc its not as loud as the Willow Go. I currently only use the Willow while I'm driving into work. I have a Spectra at work but I would rather be able to pump at my desk and thats were the Elvie comes in. I guess I'm asking can trying to use to many different pumps styles cause harm or will the body just adapt to each one with continue use.

      When I started messing around with different pumps and different flanges/inserts etc my supply definitely dropped and I stopped & just when back to my wall pump. I’m 3 months postpartum so maybe I should wait until my supply is more regulated.

    I’d love to know which wearables you would avoid. I got the Elvie stride at the beginning of my pregnancy since this is baby 2 and I really can’t afford to punch out 3 times a day at work when I go back so I’m really hoping it works for me.

      I’ve had success with the Elvie stride. I’m a low producer too and I like the stride because you can use the fridge hack and even though the tubes are annoying they offer more reassurance regarding strength/suction and better chance of emptying the breasts

      @@NewLittleLife I’m planning to breastfeed and EP when I give birth in December. I had problems with low milk supply on my first one. Maybe because I didn’t try hard enough? Or I was just in a really bad shape (emergency c section because of Covid)

    I already have a medela in-style (9 year old) and a spectra s2 (6 year old). I have had issues with low milk supply with both of my boys. Im 17 week pregnant and doing research now trying to get a reliable pump. Do breast pumps expire and get weaker over time? Im interested in Zomee Z2. Is it on the list you dont recommend?

      @@lilyknight9846 My baby is now 4 months and I currently exclusively pump. Interestingly, I found 2 different pumps, baby Buddha 2.0 drains my left breast very well and actually fixes its slacking output from .5-1oz to 1.5-2oz per session, and Medela in-style Max Flow drains the right breast better. So I use 2 pumps at the same time every pump. More parts to wash but they get me to this point making around 20-21oz/day 6 pumps/day, little undersupplier but Way better than my 2 other times. Zomee Z2 did not respond well to me. I also tried Motif, Momcozy S12, Spectra S2 and Medela in-style advance. Medela Flex is a portable pump, I use it as my sub for Medela Max Flow when I pump on the go or at work. I hope you find a pump OR TWO that fits you. Enjoy pumping!

    Would you recommend the Pumpables Genie Advance or Baby Buddha for someone with a low milk supply? I exclusively pump. I have around 2 ounces per pump (2 breasts combined) and use Spectra S1. I generally start with let down mode vacuum level 3 at cycle 70 and gradually increase it to vacuum level 5. For the expression mode, I use vacuum level 6 up to vacuum level 9. I tried Elvie before, but it didn't empty my breasts. I would like to buy a mobile pump that will be more convenient for me, empty my breasts, and provide me a similar experience to Spectra S1. I would love to hear your recommendation, thanks!

    I have a really long question to ask,
    I exclusively breastfeed my baby as he won’t take a bottle at all, I’ve tried many, he will be 6 months soon and hope he can at least drink from a cup. I don’t know if I have a low supply, I don’t think I do but can’t know for sure. I want to know from your perspective if it’s good to pump to increase supply just in case? I have a lansinoh that I use occasionally and I can pump about 2 oz per session after feeding my baby, I bought the Elvis stride and plan to use it soon but I’m just confused weather to pump or not

    • @NewLittleLife
      @NewLittleLife  9 місяців тому

      In your case, I don't think you need any more pumps. If you don't have low supply, don't worry about it! If you're not making enough for your baby, then work on a pumping schedule.

    Hello
    I am using Lansinoh single electric breast pump and I am getting 4oz milk in 3 hour period and it take only 15mins, if I use Philips Avent double electric breast pump I get 4oz milk in 3 hour period but it’s taking 30mins, but my nipples are are sore and they become very sensitive, I am not able to touch them after pumping.
    I am planning to buy another breast pump, could you please tell which one is best to not hurt my nipples.
    My baby is not latching, I am not sure why he is doing like that, that’s why I decided to pump and feed him, I am pumping 8 times a day and pain is unbearable, could any one please give me some suggestions on how to deal with that pain

    • @nms4521
      @nms4521 8 місяців тому

      Have you measured your nipples? The reason I ask is bc I have the Avent double pump and both the flange and 2 types of silicone cushions that come with it are huge and most women don't have nipples that big. I would suggest measuring your nipples and then hacking your Avent pump to Medela connectors, long stem backflow protectors, and lacktech flanges/pumping pal flanges in correct size.

      Pumping should never be painful, and my earlier pregnancies when I pumped with flanges too big I was so swollen and in so much pain. I was using a 27mm that came w my medela pisa and I am.actually a 17-19mm

Now I do not have my oversupply anymore after I had that but it has been soon 4 months and I am still going. ♡ I breastfeed as much as I can, but I sleep trough the night, while my man gives him formula or breastmilk if I have pumped.*
