@@DamnTrue the Gel Topcoat is oil based so it takes longer to dry than a water based topcoat. I try to wait 24 hours between coats. Between coats I very lightly and quickly sand with a fine grit sandpaper - 220 or higher. Remove any dust and apply next coat.
Yes you can put General Finishes water based products over Gel Stain , High Performance or Enduro Var but you will have to wait 24-48 hours. Please read the can 😊
Will multiple coats build a heavier finish?
Multiple coats will provide extra protection. You do want to be sure you're wiping it back, otherwise it will be too heavy.
