I have to say, I have watched this video soooo many times because I’m trying to learn and so far I haven’t found anyone that explains how to do things with such detail. Nothing fancy, just perfectly explained. Please continue to make more videos.

Why is it some people just have the ability to teach when they don't even want to. Thank you so much for your videos. I have only watched about (5) so far but your mastery in your craft has given me the mental ease that I will be able to tackle an old chair that I have been given to upholster. When the chair was brought to me even I thought it was a little more than I could handle because it required so much work. However, after watching your videos I am a little more confident that the chair is not as nearly as complicated as my mind had envisioned. Thank you so much for all your teaching techniques. I'm now sure that I will be able to smoothly finish this customer's wants to perfection. Also, I like to thank your wife for her excellent videotaping because we are able to see your skills with her steady hands!

@@Proud2BSAC I didn't apply it over stain just bare wood. Between coats sand with 600 grit.. if the last coat you did was really streaky (like some of mine) sand down with something coarser like 320 or 400 then 600 after. Then blow it off and use a tack cloth or microfiber cloth to get rid of any particles then apply next coat

    • @darr1964

Arm R Seal is a great and very durable product. The only thing I see is the dry times. You probably need to apply 2 to 3 coats and wait between coats. It would probably be easier to do one side at a time. If you do both sides at once, how are you going set them aside to dry. Good luck with your project. Please send pictures.

It is best to just leave final coat alone. Evan a 1000 grit will leave scratches. Usually my last sanding is 400 grit and do final coat. Some people do use a rubbing compound and then wax, if you're not experienced you can remove paint, specially on your edges.

If your prpr was done correctly you shouldn't need to sand. Your stain should be smooth so you don't need to sand. If not smooth you can go over it with a 400 grit sand paper but it's just a very light sanding with hardly any pressure and be very careful with your edges because you can remove the stain.
