You realize in another timeline this is 100% canon.
Rexxar is my favorite character in the whole WoW universe, but he barely got his chance for his own story, and would wished if rexxar was in warcraft 3's burning legion

Rexxar vs the World.

Blizzard have dropped the ball so many times but the untouched potential of Rexxar is one the biggest disappointments
Had Thrall appointed Rexxar as succeeding Warchief, the orcs may or may not have followed him simply because he's a half-breed and not a real orc. Thrall knew this, which was why he initially wanted to elect Dranosh, but after his death he instead elected Garrosh as the Son of Hellscream and the war hero of Northrend. He already had bonded himself with Garrosh in a father figure/son relationship.
Besides, Rexxar prefers being a wanderer.
This was a very high possibility were it to be a reality. However, the main reason that racism towards Rexxar died down was because he became a hero of the Horde who defended it from Daelin. Hence why he's known as the "Champion of the Horde".
But yeah as far as canonical reasons go Thrall knew the orcs would be iffy and that Rexxar ultimately prefers the wilds. Still, though, it's fun to speculate had Rexxar accepted and Thrall had given him it.
I mean the achievements of rexxar is incomparable to that of garrosh and pretty sure nobody would try to fuk with him he beat literally the ogre warlord that was ruling the ogres and not only that he killed daelin. When it comes to wits and shet he overly surpasses garrosh he realigned the taurens and the ogres back to horde lead the the attack on daelin proudmoore has saved the trolls from the invasion of the kul tirans literally knew a trap from a mile away when he knew that someone was pretending to be jaina but not really her and another he is a orc and ogre with reason and pacifism he never goes on the offensive unless needed
He such a loner hero , don't know if this would be freaking fantastic or breaks the character ? regardless like too see him come back with both Orges and the Orc/Orges hybrid race tribe as playable races.

Bro it do not matter who is made warcheif, blizzard will always villain bat the horde. Either they will do a 180 on the character like Garrosh or remove them like Vol'jin and install a warmonger.
Blizzard writer have done little to no development for the horde or it's characters outside of villain batting.
Things can change with the Council. I'm not really going to be a nihilist about it and assume the worst.
Plus this is a fun little "What If" scenario so it can go any route I want it to.

@@Jhajjasj Understandable there have been times I've been upset with the directions they've taken with the Horde as well. But I do think or at least hope they're done with that.

Why is Blizzard neglecting Rexxar so much,i mean hes one of the OGs from the RTS games,and hes not being used in WoW almost at all i dont get it,same can be said for Eitrigg and some other old characters like Muradin
They neglected to use him for way too long. He's more notable in Hearthstone than he is in WoW. It's honestly sad. At least with BfA they made an attempt but I'm hoping that's not the last we've seen of him.
The quality of this video; the editing, narration, and concept are amazing! However, I would like to point out some flaws with the idea behind this narrative and some inconsistencies:
- I don't think that, given what we know of Rexxar as a character, he would be a legitimate candidate for consideration for a variety of reasons. Rexxar is honorable, stable, and a renowned warrior admittedly, but his half-breed status would be a major draw back to any orcish warrior of the Horde. He's also extremely isolationist, individual, he's not a leader and he's not actively pursuing anything other than his own freedom, Garrosh was both a leader (an orc centered one) and very driven by his ideas and determinations. All of this is what made Garrosh, in spite of his temperament, the ideal candidate for Warchief at the time.
- I don't think that Baine dying makes much sense, in the Shattering novel which is the book that sets up all the mainline timeline events it is a Grimtotem who warns Baine of the threat to his life when Magatha executes her coup. I don't really see a means by which this changes - even if Rexxar were to become Warchief. If I may make a suggestion, I think the reality is that Baine would still escape, but Cairne would be ambushed on his return to Mulgore, whether he survives that or not is variable but in either event Baine would likely still survive.
I think that Rexxar is a very ideal option for Warchief during the Cataclysm era - I think most anyone other than Garrosh would have been, honestly - however nobody was **REALISTICALLY** an option. Garrosh was a pure blooded orc, a renowned warrior and veteran of the recent Northrend campaign, son of a hero, young enough to stand up to challengers, and determined to pursue an active policy. He was Thrall's best candidate for an Orc Warchief at the time, but a poor long term option.
Well, for starters it is a what if and what ifs can be a bit forced in any direction the writer wants it to exactly be. Secondly, Rexxar was and is already a reknowned leader and hero for the orcs after the events of the Founding of Durotar. There was maybe some bigotry for him before that but I don't think they'd hate Rexxar given his history of saving the Horde from Daelin's tyrrany.
Rexxar also wouldn't pursue this role, which is why Cairne reccomended him instead and Rexxar only agreed to take such a role if it meant it was temporary. Which is akin to how he agreed to lead Horde troops in several battles in FoD.
Magatha was already planning her attack and the only reason why he was saved was because the Grimtotem who saved him respected Cairne and despised how Cairne was killed. Cairne was still alive at the time. And I wanted to showcase what would've happened if you saved one life as a sort of ripple or butterfly effect.
It's important to note that Dranosh was the orginal runner up for Warchief and he's got a very similar resume to Garrosh and of course Rexxar.
End of the day it's just a fun little What If Video though!
Understandable. As I said, the video was REALLY good and quite enjoyable to watch and listen to. You clearly put a lot of effort and thought into it. As well as the subsequent part two, which was great too.
I just couldn't shake the odd feeling of considering Rexxar as a candidate for Warchief. Given all we know of Warcraft's orcish culture and Rexxar as an individual it isn't likely. His actions during the Founding of Durotar were more akin to something the Alliance's SI:7 would do rather than a direct leadership. Dranosh would have been better, but Thrall was left with Garrosh.
Similarly, the Grimtotem coup while Cairne is still alive seems overly brazen on Magatha's part, given the timeline. Other than those two things your concept of a Rexxar timeline is pretty spot on for what I imagine most people - including myself - would have preferred.
@@AlHyckGaemsTAD We just never got Rexxar for Warchief because he ultimately wouldn't normally take the job. But that doesn't mean he'd be bad at it or never take it either. I do think Orcish culture would accept Rexxar more than say Vol'jin in that era.
I'll be honest. Blizzard must employ you in WoW lore department instead of the current writers.
