@@AbdulSamad-jw6xq You are partly correct-- Indian farmers in Mughal empire were destitute. Where you are wrong is in not understanding why that is the case, though I suspect you know the reason but don't want to accept it because of religious or communal reasons. Indeed, Taj Mahal was being built while the country was struck with famine. Not just Taj Mahal-- Mughal and before them Lodi and Delhi Sultanante all did the same thing-- they paid tribute to the Islamic Caliph-- by extracting wealth from India and sending it to the Caliphate-- either in Damascus or in Baghdad. And not just jewels and money, but people also-- as slaves. Hindus (all those reside east of Sindhu river) were marched to slave markets in Baghdad and sold-- many of them eventually ended up all over Europe and are now known as Gypsies (mistaken by Europeans as Egyptians) or Romani people...they all have origin from northern-western India about 800-900 years ago onward.
It is simple. The Muslim rulers, almost every last one of them, did not feel any connection to the land they conquered and ruled. They levied taxes to be extractive of local wealth. From that tax collection, yes, they built a few monuments, and they also sent immense amounts of wealth to Baghdadi Caliphate. And Mughals also sent a lot of their wealth back to their homelands-- the fantastic mosques and monuments in Samarkand, Bukhara-- in Central Asia-- how do you think those got built? There isn't much in local population and economy to be able to build that sort of buildings-- except when Babar and others paid for them from Delhi.
Indian farmers were relatively well off and were treated as local citizens-- they were taxed accordingly, during the Classical Indian period and in the antiquity too. Chinese and Greek traveler accounts from that period have enough written testament to this fact. That's because the local rajas had a direct connection with their land and their people. The sultans and badshahs of the last 800 years, not so much. By the way, that is also the reason why/how Delhi could be so easily sacked by the upstart Nader Shah in the later period of Mughal empire... Mughals amassed riches in Delhi but left almost no allies among the vast population, so nobody stood up to fight Nader.

27:00 valid point raised. Desi ghee, Mustard and Olive oil are far healthier than the synthetic vegetable oil of today. It is harmful to health. Consumption of wheat and other grains in heavy quantities, as we do, is also considered bad for health. These things are the cause of most health issues of the 21st century. Low carb and natural diet is the secret to a healthy life but the habits we have adopted over the course of the last 50 years are not easy to let go of.

BTW, netherlands' area is not equal to Karachi even combined by BTK. Dont underestimate Netherlands it's that small its area is 13 times bigger than Khi. Also California's area is equal to combined size to Balochistan and KPK
