I have a centre edge angle of 21 degrees, causes me a lot of pain and definitely doesn’t feel ‘borderline’ my doctor said I should have the PAO surgery and has taken some extra CT scans, I have no idea if I should go through with it but it’s too painful for me to do anything so I will have too , Ive already tried cortisone injections, is PAO the best option ?
An LCE angle of 21° is deficient and can result in hip joint instability. If no degenerative signs are present, a PAO can improve both stability and symptoms. An MRI has the advantage over a CT scan to show further signs of instability or degenerative changes. Hip Symposium Bern just recently had CT scan back and it said that there were no extreme signs of displaysia, however there is a bump in the ball part of the hip? , and that there may be lack of power in back part of the hip, but i have no idea what this means as I got this via letter so it doesn’t really go into detail
