I started watching your videos since the time I wanted to learn how to make Gormeh Sabzi! You explain everything in such a great way, that even a novice cook like me can make it easily! Thank you so much and I always look forward to a new video from you! God bless!

    Thanks for the video Yousef!
The name might come from the indian translation of pilaf which is pulao, but who knows :)

If the name is borrowed from a language it's probably the other way round, because there are a ton of words in Hindi (Mix of Hindi and Urdu normally spoken in India) language that have its roots in Persian. Just goes to show the closeness of our cultures.

Hi Cooking With Yousef, Can you show how to pickle the onion, garlic, vegetable and how you made that yogurt?. When I try to make yogurt it is not a bit of a sour taste just a regular taste, also, sometimes the yogurt doesn't become smooth it comes out to be similar to cottage cheese chunks.

Is the rice partially cooked before you add it to the rest of the ingredients?

I never seem to have a successful cook of this dish- the rice is always sticky and gluey. Maybe I didn’t wash all the starch from the rice, next time I will pay more attention to doing it for longer. Thank you for another delicious recipe ❤
