Imagine that Billy Powell was a roadie for Lynyrd Skynyrd, till one day he sat down at piano and told Ronnie if he was to play freebird he'd play it like this and started playing. Nobody in the group knew he could play. He was a classically trained pianist. Upon Ronnie hearing him he was fired from being a roadie and hired to play in the band. Great decision I'd say 🤘✌♥️
You got to check out the man who has the original, the late great J.J. Cale. There’s hundred great songs. Two of Clapton’s most known songs, Cocain and After midnight, are his. Also Cajun Moon. One of my favourite.
My favorite Skynyrd song. Great horn section in addition to guitars and piano. How about some more aggressive Jethro Tull? "Nothing is Easy" (1969), "Hunting Girl" (1977), "Dangerous Veils" (1995) or "Hunt By Numbers" (2001). Loved your reaction to "Dark Ages" the ultimate aggressive Tull.
You can revisit any skynyrd you did on the first channel it was deep! This is my ol mans favorite. They boys bring it on this one. Those keys are fire!
I gotta hand it to you: You said you liked your chances with Sirianni and Hurts, with Wentz in Indy. At 2-5, I thought you were crazy. Now you're playing the GOAT in Tampa in January. Maybe I'm the one whose crazy.

They got after it on this one. Swamp swing.
Classic fucking 70's Ronnie era Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Right on, my favorite Skynyrd tune. 😊💜💚💛✌️
"Mr Breeze" been my C/B handle for 30+ years..
I love Ed’s guitar fills - each one is different and pure fire
Thanks Tre. Damn, gettin' a BANGERRRRR out of a song you heard before makes me realize that those headphones are money!
Right?!?
Your face just lit up at that middle solo/instrumental. Love to see it!
