This whole concert is absolutely fantastic. Setting the guitar on fire.... he does a Hendrix cover near the end where you think he just might do that. He ends with "Lenny". And the sweat is just pouring from him. SRV gave it all
I’m so heartbroken for the people on planet earth that will never have the honor to witness the greatest gift that God gave to a guitar disguised as a human being! I was blessed to see Stevie playing live. He was 10 levels above the best ever and unfortunately he was taken from us before he would have gotten even better (if that’s possible) !❤❤❤❤
Still the greatest guitar performance ever captured on film, in my opinion. The best part about Stevie, however, is what a kind and humble man he was. He also kicked a long-standing cocaine and alcohol addiction, and became an inspiration to many!
Well its so hard picking the best guitarist ever, But Stevie is a hard contender for that title!! i can say he is my personal favorite, this guy is just steaming out music, and other fluids..
One of the greats. Blues guitarist and very good songwriter. His guitar was basically an extension of his body and he knew it like he knew any body part
Stevie Ray is, in my opinion, the greatest guitarists. Personally. Just my opinion. There’s so many greats that it’s hard to rank them. But Stevie was different, like Eddie, Jimi, and Jimmy Page.
Hi John & Lulu, Stevie Ray Vauhan is the GOAT(Greatest Of All Time) and he proves it on the video from Austin City Limits with Look At Little Sister where in the middle of the song changes guitars because of a broken string and continues with out loosing a beat 😎
Clapton said that Vaughan commanded his respect more than anyone else., and Clapton was a guitar god . Stevie was one of Texas remarkable artists . Oh , and Texas gets floods all the time . Lakes , rivers , cities . Not just the coast .
The El Macombo is a little blues club on Danforth Ave in Toronto Canada. There was maybe 150 people in the club the night of this iconic performance. What a privilege that would have been. I was lucky enough to see SRV in concert in Oshawa Ontario before his death
I lived in Vegas for 20 years. Moved back home to Texas 20 years ago. We do flood down here on the coast. Hurricane country. I got caught in a flashflood in Vegas. I don't remember what year it was but cars were floating down Nellis and flood waters swept through the parking garage at the Imperial Palace and a couple people died. I was in my 74 stingray (very low) and the water came rushing down the road without warning and started pushing my car but luckily it pushed the rear end into the parking lot of a muffler shop so I threw it in reverse and quickly backed into safety! A bunch of people ended in that parking lot. We watched cars float and people get on their hoods. Someone with a big flatbed was getting them off the hoods and roofs of their cars. I've also seen it snow in Vegas in April!! Lol also I'm old so I was lucky enough to see SRV live in Texas when I was young more than once. In small bar venues before he was famous. He was a teenager and astonishing even then. I got to see him many times over the years. Best stuff ever!!
You owe it to yourself to watch his live show from Austin City Limits in 1989. A keyboardist was added to the mix that brought an extra element that was perfect. SRV and Triple Trouble 😂. Another one is SRV and Johnny Copeland that will blow your mind!❤
Before Stevie became famous we'd rock with him and Double Trouble at the local clubs in Austin. Usually a $2 cover charge! lol, the good old days. One cold December night he got married between sets at the Rome Inn! Stevie was the real thing. Yes I remember..
what you're seeing is a man who was passed out 20 minutes prior to this performance on account of profound substance abuse...he is reeling from the affects of drug use...that's why he is soaking wet....He eventually sobered up and had the best years of his life...His Austin City Limits concert will show you the difference
Amazing how many reactors say, wow he's playing so hard he's sweating. Not knowing it's cocaine and whiskey flowing out of his skin 🤙 Life by the drop, Tightrope and Caught in the crossfire helped straighten my😵💫self up! RIP 🙏
Thanks, kids! this is widely considered one of his best live performances.. you can see why.. appreciate your reactions! (p.s. I'm used to seeing this video from the "other side".. he's clearly right-handed, so this looks a bit odd to me... Nevertheless, if he's gonna throw it behind his back, all perspective is not relevant.. lol)
I'm watching this and hoping, to the heavens, with all my might, that there's just a lag between what they are hearing and what I'm hearing when I watch, and Not, they they just can't feel a freakin' down beat. Oh, and uhhh, Stevie is not a left handed guitar player, so why are you flipping the fucking video. sigh.
Stevie Ray Vaughn was an incredible guitarist but you need to see the GOAT! The greatest that there ever was.....EDDIE VAN HALEN!! Watch his "Eruption" guitar solo from the bands 'without a net' tour in Connecticut in 1986. He will leave you completely speechless with his amazing and incredible talent!!!
Completely different styles of guitar playing. EVH was amazing, certainly, but he couldn't have bent the strings on Stevie's guitar if his life depended on it.

The greatest guitar performance ever!
Ya'll need to realize that this is probably halfway through the entire performance, Stevie was and always will be the G.O.A.T!!

Stevie Ray was a freaking wizard. Greatest to ever strap a Fender Strat over his shoulder.
One of them for sure
Such an incredible talent

SRV was incomparable, there may never be an artist like him.
The term is called a virtuoso. Stevie did one thing it was Texas Blues... He just did it better than everybody else.
This is bloody real quality music. Thank you both for this tune
He is the Goat! when guitars go to sleep at night they dream of being played by SRV
Blues is Back!!! Love it
It never left, my friend!!!

RIP Stevie Ray Vaughan 10/3/1954 - 8/27/1990 🙏

Life Without You live at The Capitol Theater September 1985

Yes it floods in Texas when we actually get large amounts of rain.
SRV is the GOAT. LULU is SMOKING HOT…
Another great performance is SRV with Canadian blind blues icon Jeff Healy
😊

Everyone thinks of Canada as cold, but it was sure hot in Toronto that night
Instead of making up weird words, you could just say G.O.A.T 😊

Yep. He cleaned it up. Gone way too early.
That's why he was sweating so much !!! Lol !!! Great times back then
Yea. He was at deaths door and didn’t even know it. He’ll always be missed.
Love this, never knew why he was sweating so much, assumed it was just alcohol, thnx for enlightening me.
if stevie is talkin' about it, u can bet the bank that there are definitely floods down in texas....great reaction.
Stevie took us on a Rollercoaster ride
stage lights are hot especially when your pouring your heart out
Stevie didn't play the guitar...he made love to it
Pure Texas Blues.
The video is backwards.

They gave us Jimi Hendrix and then came Stevie Ray
Great "Guitar Face" Lulu ! 🙂
🎸🎸🎸SRV🎸🎸🎸
❤
🔥
Does her mic say still riding
Ya, ya, watch a video so you can close your eyes.
Picture as we see it is backwards - not a big deal - this is halfway through the concert - he is working harder than the other two
Give the guitar a cigarette
Virtuoso?
REACT TO LIBERIAN GIRL from Michael Jackson! Plis

Eddie could not play blues like SRV. and vice-versa - they are both GOATs
