Can somebody anybody who is a Disney animator since 1980s reply to my comment and question about the whereabouts of the lost fifteen minutes of footage from the black cauldron?
You can assume that any "lost footage" is kept in the Disney archives and will stay "lost" unless the Disney Co. sees some profit motive for releasing that footage , but where would they release it ? DVDs and BluRays with "extra features" are pretty much dead because of streaming and The Black Cauldron is just not that popular a film. Outside of a few fans there is not that much interest in releasing such footage.
