Book Ginny oozes charisma and confidence. She fights for what she believes in and calls people out for being bad (Ron, mostly). She is also very beautiful. Movie Ginny are none of these things.
Well she wasnt referred to a lot in the books either, it's just what she does

Definitely one of the disappointing things about the movie. It’s not like they could use the excuse of not knowing how to make her character more badass and interesting as they have six books (not counting 1st book) to develop her character
Ginny is one of the strongest and best character, a woman carrying charisma, people not liking her here must have different taste they might like dumb, stupid, quiet girl, but Ginny's character was awesome, just in movies director should have shown her more that's just the matter....

Ginny' behavior was more realistic in the films. Being possessed by Tom Riddle in her first year would have had a lasting impact, making her more low-key and cautious. Comparisons and judgments are unfair, because the films are "based on" the books. Re-watch DH part 2; she's entirely believable.

I think it was just the acting. I have to agree with you here. But I do not blame the screenplay or the Director. I blame the actress. It shows that she did not read any material or did her homework on her character. It shows !

This is so true! Ginny is my favorite charqcter, and the movies didn't gave her justice! No hate, but I think they could've hired better actors than Bonnie Wright, she played like shit😡. JUSTICE FOR GINNY!
Don’t blame the actress for performing as directed. Movie Ginny was mostly treated as a prop.
