Hey! If anyone's interested, I'm reviewing all the Doctor Who stories on my channel, with me just having uploaded Part 3 of my review of: 'The Time-Monster (1972)!'
There is one important part of time travel that no one ever discusses. The Cartesian Point of your departure and arrival in the Universe. Hill Valley, in 1985, is not in the same place in the Universe as in 1955.
@@Optimity I believe what is being referenced is the Earth's movement relative to the cosmos. The position of the Earth, indeed the whole Solar System, within the Milky Way, right now or in 1985, is not the same as it was in 1955. So unless time travel includes space travel, the idea goes, one would appear in 1955...somewhere in space where the Earth was at the time you left, not on Earth where it is in the time you've arrived.
Watching this video... First off, the loop is necessary. If you (the person) does not go back to 1955, you would have never ended up in that timeline, and just like Marty, you fade away, because the timeline from that present to the past to the future does not exist anymore. And if you DO survive, you now have 2 copies of yourself existing in the same world, so either you have to die, or your clone does, which leads up to you dying. Second off, while the loop exists, it is only a temporary thing. Said loop does not exist in the future, so nearly a year later the situation would be avoided, as long as you dont go back to 1955 or 1985. Third off, Doc was wearing gloves so he wouldn't get electrocuted. Electricity does now flow through rubber.
Another thing: After messing with the timeline as much as they did, even if Marty's parents still got together it is very unlikely that Marty's conception would have happened at the exact same time under the exact same conditions. Marty might still have been born, but could have been a very different person.
I see the impossible being possible, because we dont know "HOW" yet, so something that looks outlandish may actually be provable, unless all resources on the tests and experiments have been used up, and the time stopps indefinitly...
Sorry to rain on the parade but Its impossible to time travel because were always in the present. There is no such thing as a past or future only a constant that is our perception of now. Time is actually a concept not a reality...
Its bad enough that the YT mafia charges people for AD protection money. Then they remove free vids and hide them behind a paywall to try toforce more users to pay to even see it. Because this wasn't the first iteration of the infinite time loops created and the time travels created to avoid the failure of the previous attempts. Can you work out the "shockwave" made by the algorithm of the "go back in time and try to fix the future" loop? :-)

13:52 And that's the biggest electrical misconception of all time. "Electricity takes the path of least resistance." False, if that were true, then parallel circuits wouldn't exist and if you have a parallel circuit with say 5 light bulbs, only one would light up, (the one with the least resistance). But they ALL light up, meaning that electricity will take all paths still. The correct statement is, "Electricity will take the path of NO resistance." Again in this example, if you create a 6th branch of that parallel circuit with just wiring and no bulb (basically no resistance) then all the current will take that branch and none of the 5 lights will light up. Even then the statement isn't fully true because a few electrons will still flow through the other 5 circuits, just not enough to light the bulbs up because 99.99999% of the electricity is flowing through that short circuit.
The DeLorean has a dog leg transmission which basically means reverse is where 1st usually is and 1st is where 2nd usually is so in the shot he put it into first.

“People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff.” The Doctor
But that's kind a irrelivent. And actually useful since it simplifies the calculations needed. You'd just need the car to be in contact with the wire at that time. Since the wire can flex a bit sinve it's slacking you may have let's say a tenth of a second window between initial contact and breaking the wire or going too far past it. Probobly less than a tenth. But not an infeasible window
Great Scott! It's Jake, from State Farm! Well made/produced video. Great information as well... but this is why you have suspension of disbelief when you watch a movie. Even those "based on a true story" are so Hollywood-ized you still have to have the suspension of disbelief.
If that note had worked: Either there would be two Jakes in the present, if time travel uses the alternate reality time-line approach, because the second Jake would never leave the present. Or the current Jake would cease to exist because he never went back in time, couldn't have wrote the note, and the second Jake would be the first one in the loop. Or paradoxes are resolved in a manner such that anything that could possibly affect the past is something that already happened, so the time travel is needed to fulfill the bootstrap paradox.

"the speed of electricity going through a wire is almost the speed of light"
We need Gav and Dan on this asap
But that's kind a irrelivent. And actually useful since it simplifies the calculations needed.
You'd just need the car to be in contact with the wire at that time.
Since the wire can flex a bit sinve it's slacking you may have let's say a tenth of a second window between initial contact and breaking the wire or going too far past it.
Probobly less than a tenth.
But not an infeasible window

Sorry I ws. Ore answering the video than him
They’ve done a video about the speed of light and they actually get it in slo-mo.
Great Scott! It's Jake, from State Farm!
Well made/produced video. Great information as well... but this is why you have suspension of disbelief when you watch a movie. Even those "based on a true story" are so Hollywood-ized you still have to have the suspension of disbelief.
If that note had worked:
Either there would be two Jakes in the present, if time travel uses the alternate reality time-line approach, because the second Jake would never leave the present.
0:48 : "How did I get here?"
Nobody:
Me: "Do you have 90 minutes?!??!!"
This is basically an elaborate way of ruining your favorite movies.

@@kevinallison4981 the answer is a exotic matter or some sort special matter
Surprised that universal hasn’t called him for copyright issues
Well apparently they recorded at the official set, which still is part of Warner Brothers Studios. So...
Well...
This will be featured in the upcoming 35th anniversary official release

They probably asked permission and changed enough details to avoid copyright infringement.
This is beyond amazing

If you look at the "when you were" meter, you see that she was from 5 days into the future

Видео, конечно, достойное. Вот только перемещать живую материю до сих пор не научились; с другой стороны, то что раньше было фантастикой - сейчас реальность.
Циолковского в то время тоже считали немного того... ))
Wooooow tengo hambre
So happy you're on the mend from the big C! Please keep up the good work! Much love x
