Be careful buying the vantrue. I bought the N4 and after a month it started to get stuck in home screen, I did everything I could but nothing happened. Then I returned it and got the N5, same thing happened. Speaking of luck 😡. Good thing I returned that shit. It is an expensive dash cam, i will be trying this Viofo a229 pro soon 🤞
We recorded it with full reveal. We had it all done with product listed and etc. But yet again Android app is not fixed, and final production delayed again another 2 weeks. We told them we cannot put it on the channel anymore. I feel like Vortex Radar and Radenso Theia. I think its Theia radar detector that just never came out. This dash cam is made in Korea. Works great and has No Forums on DASH CAM TALK. They are huge in Asia. The only thing I don’t like is AVI video files. But if you download from the app it is MP4. It is basically a hybrid between U3000 and A229 pro. The mystery continues…..
I think the new 4k was the best until the night time driving. Then the n4 took charge. BUT, if the A139 Pro was part of this test, I think it would have taken charge in all aspects 😉
Nice videos, would be good with some example of license plate reading as with youtube compression is not exactly easy to see which from this 4 is the best on this aspect.
What is the New 4K Dash Cam; I'm still confused between 970X Plus and Thinkware U3000. I want LTE Cloud but think I could also install a wifi hotspot and use it with the Thinkware; would it be the same.

It probably is irrelevant, but each of the 4 video feeds show a different color blue for the automobile hood. Which one is the closest to the actual color of the car?
Nice comparison for certain. I always wonder why there is so much difference in lighting quality between dash cams when going through long tunnels. Do you have a link for the New 4K. :) I see VIOFO have released a new FW for the A229 Pro. I will flash that and see if the blue tint and other issues clear up.
We tested the android app today for the NEW 4K dash camera and it tested well and they fixed what we wanted fixed. We hope to be telling people about it soon.
@iveSolutionsI flashed the new FW for the A229 Pro and the image quality is much, much better. Looks like VIOFO have produced a better FW than the previous 5 that I had tried. I look forward to seeing more info about the NEW 4K dash cam.

So, I did more shopping around and I just picked up a brand NEW VIOFO A229 Pro 2 Channel Dash Cam on eBay for $149 and after coupons, I paid $138 for it!!! :-) I'm so glad I found such a great deal for a supposedly great dashcam! The seller listed it without the VIOFO name, but while reading the description of the product, it was the VIOFO A229 Pro 2 Channel Dashcam (front and rear camera). I was wondering if you had the CPL lens on the A229 in this comparison test? If so, do you think it would make a difference if you removed it for nighttime driving? I was planning on removing the CPL lens (that comes with it) when it got dark outside. Just wondering :-) I also did some research about hardwiring it to my 2016 Dodge RAM Rebel Pickup truck, but after more research, I remembered that my fuse box is under the hood, and I could not run the wiring thru the firewall between the engine compartment and the cab! So, I found a Vantrue OBD Hardwire kit to take advantage of the Park Feature. My OBD connection is under my steering wheel in the 2016 RAM 1500 truck. I emailed VIOFO's support center to see if they will be coming out with an OBD Hardwire Kit for those that cannot use the fuse box. Awaiting their response. :-)
Sounds like you scored a good deal. We don’t use the cpl filter for our videos. We strongly do not reccomend using a vantrue obd2 cable as they do not work properly. We made a video showing how to make your own with a viofo hk4 and an iroad obd2 cable

The problem is vantrue usb c is a different pinout so it does not work. Had a client say it worked once or twice then stopped working. We are familiar with iroad and thinkware obd 2 cable. Either of them should work fine. But you have to build them
Are you sure you have a A229 Pro 2 channel for that price and not the old A229? The price it's almost unbelievable for one channel also. Can you leave a link?
@dadi5530 - yes! I received it a few days ago and installed it without the hardware kit!which I am waiting for. Got that for $13.00 on eBay. The camera is the A229 Pro 2 channel, with front and rear camera. It also came with a CPL lens :-) It works GREAT. Brand new wrapped I original box.
Thank you very much, according to the videos, the differences in images are not much, I may know that the N4 is a little slower but in parking the Viofo A229 is much faster and you have to take that into account.

Funny thing is n4 pro may have been brighter. But pay attention to the details. 😎 i have A 139 pro video footage as well and it did great as well.

The New 4K has the best image overall, it seems to me. I have the A229 Pro and overall, not impressed with it.
try and update first firmware was not so great. newer ones have been good
