I've just rebuilt a '63-'66 hayterette. The only thing s I'm missing are a nut cover for the wheel and one of those ridiculous height adjusters made from spring steel! They're like the proverbial rocking horse doo doo! If I can't find one I'll have to get some spring steel and put my best forging hat on.
them blasted fleximission cables always get stuck on them hayteretes never quite get them into choke but they do get abused nice find they do sell well always handy
the old Jacobson mowers had the disk under neath with four sharp triangle cutters, that looked like cycle points. it took a bit to pull the cord and they took a while to wind down once the engine was shut off.
This mower reminds me of a different Hayterette mower but with a 60s B and S classic engine in it that was bought in the nineties I think. The rings were shot which were changed with primitive tools and a whole HOST of problems, but I learned a lot about mowers from it....... Oh it too had four blades mounted on a heavy disc.
How are you doing today young man 😎 it's been awhile since I've been watching you fixing mowers I just did a video of the craftsman gt tractor fuel line replacement

very nice mower, It could need a valve adjustment.
It was the carb gasket that was stopping the choke flap from shutting.. it now starts great

Yeah the same as this one..

Thanks for watching mate
Great video mick, I swapped a Honda engine from a rotten izy over to a Hayterette deck. A bit of work but would make a great video.
The idea behind them disc blades is that if you hit a brick or some object hidden in long grass , it doesn't bend the crank .
Yeah mate
Great job Mick. Alot of profit to be made on that machine! 👍🇬🇧🇺🇸Roger
Yeah Rodger
