Mick…..I just came across your channel……….best channel on youtube explaining small engine repairs. Thank you for recording and sharing. Please keep it going.
There is a chain wax made by Putoline that you heat up and drop the chain into once you have cleaned and freed off the chain links. The wax penetrates between the link rollers. Lift the chain out and hang to drip back into the tin. Once chain is cooled it can be refitted. The wax re-sets to a solid and can be reused repeatedly. Used this method on motorbikes befre the sealed chains can along and alwas had a good chain with no tight spots.
I regret to inform you, you've put the master link keeper on backwards! Your supposed to have the closed end facing in the direction of drive, as it is there's a chance it could catch and ping off and you'll need a new one again 😮

Interesting. I would have gone with a belt rather than a chain since they are more forgiving
She’ll be a happy lady now Michael! Did you find any 10mm sockets with the magnet 😁

@@Herbybandit it will be fine....
I use a dry lube so dirt or grass will not stick to the chain.
Beyond ballistics has a cheaper homebrew option!
Ping 🤣🤣
