About 2 Meter Sessions
====================
Based in the Netherlands, 2 Meter Sessions is an independent, ongoing (new) music platform with a great legacy. Monthly we film 3 to 4 sessions with promising and breakthrough acts from all over the world.
Many well-known acts have visited the show; from James Taylor, Elliott Smith and David Crosby to Damien Jurado, Ben Howard and Josh Ritter, via Radiohead, Nirvana, Coldplay and Foo Fighters. Archive footage can regularly be seen in (theatrical) documentary movies, like “Mystify: Michael Hutchence” (with footage of our session with INXS, filmed in 1997), “Heaven Adores You” (with footage of our session with Elliott Smith, filmed in 1998) and “All I Can Say” (with footage of our session with Blind Melon, filmed in 1993).
The show started back in 1987 by radio presenter Jan Douwe Kroeske. On his popular national radio show he persuaded New-Zealand band Crowded House to play a couple of songs. The response of the public was so great, that 2 Meter Sessions quickly became a household name. In 1993, the show made a successful transition to national television. From there the show became a national phenomenon, for over 10 years, with filmed sessions of new talent, breakthrough acts and arrived career artists. Almost a million of 2 Meter Sessions cd’s were sold in the Netherlands.

The very end of a truly amazing batch of albums. Blessed that I lived through my teens/20s with this band as a backdrop ❤
Amen 🙏
Amen to that ! One of the best
MARC FORD!!!!
This rendition of 'Sting Me' is pure 🔥.
It's slow Sting Me and it's in the 2 spot!
A top band at the top of their game, thankfully captured in a unique fashion! Eternally grateful for this !
Terrific band in their best of the best era.
Evil Eye is such a gem.
Johnny Colt!!!
Best era of black crowes 😎

Gorman is everything
MARC FUCKIN FORD

Marc Ford ❤
Thank you. This is one of the all time best!
I love all of their albums but Three Snakes is probably my favorite.
Some of their most creative and unique work!
Girl from the pawnshop, Good Friday
En sus mejores tiempos, por siempre la mejor banda
we need more cowbell!
Great session, they were having a blast...rare StingMe groove and nice to hear the lesser played gems like wings and evileye
These guys are the greatest 🔥 finally some good camera work!
この時期のクロウズ好っきゃわー!
That's the sexiest version of Sting Me for sure!

I don’t think I have EVER seen Rich smile!..WTF?….Great player though!
Yes
The golden lineup Ed ,Marc,Johnny, and the 3 brothers. Like the Stones with Taylor and Jimmy Miller producing . Prime alchemy.
Am I on dope or is this slowed down? Slowdown?
How much for your wings? $7.95....if you were there, you know
Who wrote the song "he was a friend of mine"?
The Byrds
Dylan
😊
what happens to the audio on "sting me"?!? after the first song all of a sudden you get vocals/marc ford's guitar/kick drum on the left channel with rich's guitar/bass/snare drum on the right channel (oddly enough in the rest of the session you can distinctly hear rich on left and marc on right). plus there is a sort of ambient/room mics all spread around... a bit like the old beatles records but in a kinda unpleasant way to me. as i told this happens only on that second track, the rest of the gig is standard L/R mix and sounds pretty good (like each and every 2 meter sessies i happened to listen). that said, great session!
They were probably trying to replicate the studio track. Right and left sides. Listen to the studio track. I'm just starting this show, it's amazing, but that's my best guess
Hi I recorded this session and I m not sure what happened with the 2 nd song , probably a take where I wasn t ready with the sound , the sessions were not mixed afterwards, just direct to 2!track with a short soundcheck, Grt Han
2 Meter Sessions is the Essance of Rock N Roll....That Essance is on Full Display in this Brilliant Recording of The Black Crowes!!!!
Why is "Let me share the ride" missing???
THIS is how I want to remember TBC! Luther era was fine, but now they are just pissing on their legacy. Then again, I don’t consider them to be TBC anymore, it’s just the Robinson Brothers, and that’s it. ✌️
that part. 💯
Agreed. I would advise them to mend fences with Gorman and Ford, then get Marc Slocum on keys. That would come very close to this classic lineup.
This is The Black Crowes!!!!.....Brilliant!!!!!
yup
En ningún momento mancharon su legado , siempre hicieron grandes discos y canciones. El último disco reciente es muy bueno.
back when the H wasnt tainted
