    Never ever seen such an extensive rundown on push ups.
    For me so critical an exercise in order to build into more advanced pushing exercises I can only say thank you and excellent. Sid, looking forward anxiously to your next episode.

      That was my intention with this video. Thank you very much for watching, i'm hyped that you enjoyed the episode! I will also do more smaller episodes on other push ups variations, techniques etc! 🙌

    Glad you spoke on the benefits of partial range of motion. Too many people don't understand what you explained.

      Thank you. I tried to cover the areas I consider to be the most important. I'm a huge fan of ROM, why waste time on partial range of motion (most people will benefit more from FULL range of motion) 💪

    Thanks for watching the video, and I hope you don't mind the ads on this video, could use a few extra 💸 with the lack of work because of this whole COVID 19 that's going on... 😅
    And if you can't stand the ads I'm gonna upload the video on my IGTV tomorrow so you can watch it without interruptions. Hope you all enjoy this episode, longer than last weeks (somehow haha) 🤭
    I will also plan on creating more content for training at home, since it seems like this Corona Storm might last for a while, please let me know if that is something you would be interested in! 🙋‍♂️
    Use the time stamps below if you don't want to watch the entire video...
    TIMESTAMPS:
    00:00 - Introduction
    01:15 - What's A Push Up?
    03:37 - The Push Up Problem
    05:53 - Form Obsession
    07:53 - Push Up Technique
    13:58 - Common Mistakes
    16:35 - Progressions
    20:16 - Accessory Training
    22:31 - Planning Your Training
    P.S. This video is based on my experience from working in the gymnastics and S&C industry for the last six years. I don't claim my way of training to be the best. This is simply my advice for how you can get the best results based on what has worked for me and the people I coach. Keep an open mind and give the exercises and ideas in the video a chance before you dismiss them :)

    I have a very weak core and my back arches really easily. You say it's a sign that 'something is lacking either in strength or control' - how do you recommend to best fix this?

    • @sidpaulson1
      @sidpaulson1  3 роки тому +1

      Get stronger, as your strength increases it will be easier to maintain a proper core position.

    Helo sir, any ideas in how to get rid of a winged scapular (left side, back pack always feels uncomfortable, and jackets too), and a clicking hip (near spine) when lowering legs in leg raises?
    When I try a Hollow body, I get pain under my stomach, near top of leg, any ideas on what to do about that too?
    Thank you for your time!
    Sincerely Guy.

    • @sidpaulson1
      @sidpaulson1  Рік тому +1

      For a winged scapula you want to build strength in the serratus anterior and improve your 'reach' to get more space to move in the upper back.
      The clicking in the hips is normal, and as long as it's not painful is usually not a problem. But I do think you can make it better by building more strength and control in the hip region.
      Regarding the pain in your hollow body hold, I haven't experienced that before so I can't say much about it i'm sorry.
      Good luck with everything!

    • @sidpaulson1

      Not that important. I think there are better exercises. But it's always good to do some unilateral exercises to maintain structural balance.
