Again, thank you for the ride! Kansas City was a quiet place but Omaha, Nebraska was entertaining with life. You could see the difference. See in the morning, get some rest ~
Thanks for coming to Nebraska Robert! There are a few things you can see when you come back. Just to start the zoo is World Class, great museums, Birthplace locations(Pres. Ford, Malcom X, etc) , Pedestrian Bridge over the River (next to the National Parks regional office), Fontenelle Forest trails, Benson district, and much More!
Robert I want to thank you for posting these videos for people like me who have little ones at home and are unable to travel. We are living vicariously through you as cliched as it may sound. May god bless you with never-ending happiness, good health and prosperity. Thank you sir. Especially during tough times like this when we are unable to travel, these videos bring so much joy. Love from Canada 🇨🇦
Hopefully you'll see this. I recently ran across your channel while researching next years trip to Yellowstone/Grand Tetons area. I have so much to say..... Your voice and your accent are actually very calming and enjoyable to listen too. You seem to be well educated and knowledgeable of what and where you currently are. This video, about Nebraska was spot on as well. I live in Omaha and have for a few years (Kansas City is my hometown) as work brought me to Omaha. I worked on the Railroad (Union Pacific Railroad) for nearly 41 years and Omaha is home of our Corporate Headquarters for the company. You are right that not many East/West Coasters know or care much about this part of the country and just to see your expressions and hear you say that it is nice, was a pleasant thing to hear and for you to say. Anyways, I just wanted to drop in and say how much I enjoy your travel videos. Happy Traveling. :-)
For several years some friends of mine and I would randomly point on a map and travel there in the summer when our work would slow down. As a result I’ve been to Nebraska. We took one route there and another back. I really enjoyed it there. Met some wonderful people and have many cherished memories. Loved Omaha. Such a quaint and charming city. Still need to see North Dakota, Minnesota, Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas to complete my west of the Mississippi quest. I’ve ticked off most of the east coast except Vermont, GA and FLA. I have friends in all those places so hope to go one day. Thanks for inspiring people to see the beauties right here at home.
Thank you for sharing your trip to Omaha, Nebraska. My Grandmother had a sewing drapery business in what was Aquila Court, now the Magnolia Hotel in the 1920’s. I always wanted to return, but now I feel I have done so. I love all your videos, I love the pictures, and your gentle conversation, thank you!
Hey John P I see you like Traveling Robert welcome. I'm Kaleb and on my channel I make travel vlogs on my traveling and I would appreciate it if you could come and check out my youtube channel and subscribe to it and it would make my day. Thanks man and be safe.
@Hoffman's Landscaping I see you like Traveling Robert . I'm Kaleb and on my channel I make travel vlogs on my traveling and I would appreciate it if you could come and check out my youtube channel and subscribe to it and it would make my day. Thanks man and be safe.
Thanks for this video. I am an Omaha native but have lived all over, including NYC. Always enjoy heading back to Omaha and my home state of Nebraska. Also, if you do decide to come back to the "Midwest", consider visiting the Nebraska Sandhills, which are up north of I-80. A lot of history and a lot of beauty. From Ft Robinson on the west to the Niobrara River on the east of this region. Give it a try. You might run into me later this year. Keep up the good work.
So cool the video!! I miss Omaha, Columbus, Lincoln, I've lived in Columbus back in 1983/1984, Love this State; the People, the looks, the way of living, the plains, what a great place!!! Regards from Portugal
It's such a joy to watch a video by someone who truly appreciates all the great state of Nebraska has to offer. Thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed your time here.
What a small world. I was in North Platte in early August on the way back to NJ from Colorado. I went to the Golden Spike tower and saw the Union Pacific Big Boy steam locomotive that they rebuilt in time for the 150 year anniversary of completing the first transcontinental railroad! I also got gas at that same exact station and pump that you did in town! LOL! I guess Kevin Bacon was correct with his 6 degrees of separation! Happy travels. We are all itching for the country to reopen.
It was really nice seeing more of Nebraska than I have seen driving through. I love that you find all these treasures in states that are overlooked. fantastic Vlog as always
I have been to car henge. From your map it looks like you might have been through Crawford, Nebraska, around Fort Robinson State Park, a beautiful section of Nebraska! I know you wanted to see the railroad yard in North Platte. You also got to see the monuments along the Oregon trail. You did miss the heart of the Sandhills, Nebraska Highway 2 is pretty amazing. Also the wildlife refuge at Valentine, Nebraska. Also southeastern Nebraska and the fruit orchards around Nebraska City. Thank you posting your travels in often overlooked Nebraska!
BIG vote for a trip to the Midwest (when you can do it - virus permitting) - no one really covers that area and I would love to see it. Thanks for posting - its Sunday afternoon here and just what I needed!
Hey Piggyduff I see you like Traveling Robert welcome. I'm Kaleb and on my channel I make travel vlogs on my traveling and I would appreciate it if you could come and check out my youtube channel and subscribe to it and it would make my day. Thanks man and be safe.
Roberto, I knew you were Cuban!!! My mom & Grandmother were born there (Camahuay). Left Miami after Hurricane Andrew 92, for The Ozark Mountains. No regrets. Feels like home, more free, cheaper living. Total heaven. Safe travels, Glad to have found your channel , enjoy our most beautiful country!!!; 🇺🇲😃
You were only a few blocks from Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway office, when you were at Mutual of Omaha. Should have popped in to say Hi. 😁 I was born & raised in Omaha and have been in Vegas for the last 20 years. Back when Mutual of Omaha was just the 2 buildings and no plaza or commercial/retail mall and the ConAgra building with the fountain wasn't even a plan yet. When you were there, you were also right next the the Union Pacific Dispatch Center & the Heritage Museum/Train Depot. Maybe hit those on your next trip through.
(to the beat of Riding in My RV) "I'm wishin.....wishin I was with my RV.....Great episode Robert. A very overlooked state indeed. I've only ever driven through when on IH-80. Good to see it get some TR love.
Thank you for these wonderful videos. The first video I ever watched of yours was a four hour one of your trip to Arizona. It's was so entertaining that I was glued to the screen. Your channel is the best! 🚐🌴
Robert, Me and my best friend (my wife) we are binge watching your video's as we are shut in trying to do our part to "tame the beast". Thank you for you video's of your adventure's before when the world was a much better place:)) They make us smile(s). Please be safe and keep smiling, Gordon and Karla from Oregon.
Greetings from Omaha NE! I wondered if you drove thru NE! Wish my husband and I followed you then and would have invited you for dinner/cocktails!! ... I just started following you right when the pandemic kicked in. Love love all your travels. My husbands loving all your FL travels. I’ve been there many times and I can’t wait to take my husband. Miami, South Beach area (where all the beautiful hang) , Tampa, St Pete’s, Ybor City (saw Flamenco dancers same place you dined). And of course he’s looking forward to having authentic Cuban coffee and Cuban cigars!! Cheers from Omaha!!
Thank you, Robert, for the preview of Nebraska! We're headed there this weekend, starting out boondocking for a week in the hills about an hour north of Carhenge. We wanted to see what you discovered in Nebraska, and as usual you didn't disappoint. Great job as always!
Who would have thought Nebraska and Kansas would be this interesting ! Or maybe you have a special talent to make all cities seem beautiful on camera :) Thoroughly enjoyed this video , didn’t expect it would be so good , thanks for the upload
Another great video! knowing that you only show part of the trip and so much of it is you just driving for hours on your own and we dont see that ,its hard to appreciate how much real time goes into just a one hour video
Mornin' Robert! As always, it's nice to get back out on the road with you and re-visit some of the places I've seen on my travels. I really loved hearing the crickets when you stopped at Chimney Rock, that's a sound I can't get enough of when I stop at some big wide open space. The Great Platte River Road attraction is actually pretty neat...you may have seen it in the Jack Nicholson move "About Schmidt".
If you ever return to Omaha Robert check out the Bob Kerry pedestrian bridge which crosses the river between Omaha and Council Bluffs. At night with the neon lights it is glorious. You can see it on the internet but being there is better. Also perhaps the Blackstone entertainment district on Farnam Street, you narrowly missed it when you went to Midtown Crossing and the Benson entertainment district on Maple Street. And you really should see the Capitol District, you narrowly missed it when you went to the Old Market. And Gene Leahy Park is scheduled to be completed in 2022.
Can't tell you how much I enjoyed this visit through my home state. We are always in a hurry to get to Colorado vacation spot and have never stopped in Alliance or at Chimney Rock so especially loved that. Love watching these on Sunday morning. Thank you again for the great job you do.
Great video! Very informative. I've been thru NE many times, never took a closer look (in a hurry). In process of selling house now, looking forward to traveling with a TT & seeing EVERYTHING! I love museums & historical points of interest. Thx.
Robert. Your videos have helped me and husband to feel a sense of peace after all the anxity of the pandemic. I know it's not over yet but thank you for your beautiful scenic video's and calming nature 👍👌
Another wonderful video Robert! Love that you started at Carhenge and all the places you visited--all are gems! The fog at Chimney Rock was fantastic! It's impossible to see all of great places in a state in a single trip, especially when you're on a schedule. Whenever you get back to the state, consider the Museum of the Fur Trade in Chadron--it's another gem and not necessarily well know outside of fur trade aficionados. We stumbled across it years ago and it was wonderful!
Great video! Brought back memories. We used to live in Omaha a few years ago (a U.P. employee) and loved the Old Market and several other restaurants. We don’t miss the wind though - especially in January.
Hello Traveling Robert! Nebraska IS a very overlooked state indeed. Years ago my family and I drove across the country along I-80 all the way to Monterey,CA to visit my brother, who is in the military and stationed in Monterey. One of our overnight stops was Kearney, Nebraska and a nice town it was. We enjoyed a delicious steak dinner and also visited the Archway Monument the next morning before we continued driving to the west. Such a beautiful state and so many farmlands and cows lol. Next time I drive through there I will drive the Historic Lincoln Highway, which parallels I-80 all the way through Nebraska. Great video Robert and looking forward to the video through Iowa and beyond, oh and by way, my son who is autistic really enjoyed hearing your theme song...im riding riding in my rv😊...
You need to spend more time in Kansas. The Eisenhower Museum in Abilene is interesting, just make sure that you try the fried chicken at the Brookville Hotel while you are there. The Flint Hills are scenic, also.
Alliance has a really pretty City park with a unique water fountain that lights up at night. Also Box Butte Avenue is lined with cobblestone streets. Neat railroad town. Also if you ever visit Chimney Rock again, you can keep going south to the end of the road and turn right. Go until you reach the end and there is an old cemetery up there and an excellent view of the landmark for pictures.
I really enjoyed this. You went through Alliance, Scottsbluff and Chimney Rock a month after I was there. I have family living in that region. I've also traveled Kansas and I80 over the years to visit family in Iowa, so it was nice to see. Glad you showed the capital building in Lincoln, I've never been there; did enjoy a great aged steak in Omaha once. Thank you for this! Happy memories for me 😊
Great video, we have a grand-daughter due to be born this summer in Lawrence Kansas and though we would do a trip through Nebraska. This is a great help! If you return to Omaha, the Zoo is wonderful. Also, Downtown KC is fabulous and is know as the City of Fountains
Very interesting video. The old cars, that from afar looks like Stonehenge. Beautiful Chimney Rock. Omaha clean and beautiful city. The historic train traffic. Congrats, Keep up. Love MOM...>>>
I thought the art work was neat with the family in a hand, & the bison. The fountain spray with rainbow effect was also exciting to see. Liked seeing carhenge. I loved the train station. Really great video.
Just watched your video... I'm amazed how people think Nebraska is so flat, but when you explore the state, the most flat part is along the Platte River where the interstate was built, and that must be why so many think it's a flat state... Like your video... Hope you can come back!
Found your channel preparing for a driving trip to deliver a sculpture to a patron friend in Miami and the keys. Ironically I'm from Omaha! It's quite a drive to FLA. Love the channel and have greatly enjoyed your travels.
I really enjoyed your video of my hometown, Omaha. Knowing how much you like trains, you might want to visit the Durham Museum on 10th Street near the Old Market in the future. I think you can still tour train cars from the 40s and 50s. You might also enjoy Strategic Air command & Aerospace Museum where about 35 planes and jets are on display. It's located off I-80 between Lincoln and Omaha. Thanks for another wonderful video!
Very interesting video, I was born in Grand Island Nebraska, lived in NE Kansas and NW Missouri. No interstates back in the 50’s and 60’s when I was a kid so we didn’t do a lot of traveling. I do hope you are able to get back sometime. Lots to see in Kansas City and Pony Express Museum in St Joe, just a few blocks from where Jessie James was killed.
My old stomping grounds. I grew up about 45 miles south of Lincoln, worked in Lincoln and Omaha (lived about a mile south of the Old Market for a year or so... Before moving on to Dea Moines.) You even wandered past a couple of the things I did the drawings for way back when (pretty basic infrastructure stuff... 😏... Not exactly what a traveler notices...).
Another great video, Robert! I drove straight through Nebraska on my way home from the 2017 solar eclipse, but it looks like I need to go back and spend some more time there. I have never heard of Chimney Rock. Looks very interesting. In the segment where you stopped at the Great Platte River Archway, you said that you thought it would be a place to eat or rest area. You may have seen something about the huge McDonald's located on the Will Rogers Turnpike near Vinita, OK. The restaurant goes over the road and looks similar to the place you stopped in NE. The one in OK has a gas station, Subway, and some little shops. I made two trips from Texas to Missouri to purchase my travel trailer in December, so I passed this place a few times on that trip.
Nebraska is a nice place, its the Heartland of America!
Thank you for being excited about by home state. I am a Nebraska native and always appreciated what my state has to offer.
Nebraska=awesome! Best kept secret of my extended backyard. East and west coaster's - just keep on flying over.
don't you fear tornados? Is that something that keeps you concerned?
America the Beautiful! All states have hidden gems. Thank you for sharing your Summer 2019.
Again, thank you for the ride! Kansas City was a quiet place but Omaha, Nebraska was entertaining with life. You could see the difference. See in the morning, get some rest ~

Gooooood morning! Another excellent video, it's helping us get thru our homebound lives, thank u!! 👍😍
Another great video. A simple overview of a place I wouldn’t be likely to visit. Now I may consider it.
Great job making relatively dull places come alive and interesting. Keep having fun and stay safe.
If you ever make it to Wisconsin...a really neat place to go to is Cave of the mounds.
Roberto, I knew you were Cuban!!!
My mom & Grandmother were born there (Camahuay).
Left Miami after Hurricane Andrew 92, for The Ozark Mountains. No regrets. Feels like home, more free, cheaper living. Total heaven.

I have a MYRV addiction. A Midwest spring trip could have some very interesting weather.
Good morninggggg Robert...I was worry since the video was not at the usual times...happy to see it. Lincoln Nebraska looks historic for cars monument.
Another great video! knowing that you only show part of the trip and so much of it is you just driving for hours on your own and we dont see that ,its hard to appreciate how much real time goes into just a one hour video
If you ever get the chance to go back through this area, the arch tour is enjoyable. Well worth the trip.
love seeing cobblestone roads

In all my travels we always managed to go around Nebraska. Some day I would like to stop at some of these places. Thanks for sharing Robert.

We also have the Gerald r Ford museum downtown
I thought the art work was neat with the family in a hand, & the bison. The fountain spray with rainbow effect was also exciting to see. Liked seeing carhenge. I loved the train station. Really great video.
I lived in Omaha for 2 years a while ago so this is pretty nostalgic. Def worth a pit stop. Downtown still looks pretty empty though.
I love your travelogs Robert. Keep up the good work.

Hola Robert! Great video! I grew up in Southern Cal but now live in Omaha. Glad you made it through my neck of the woods.
Thanks again, great trip!
Thank you for your trip one Nebraska. I love the cars.
My old stomping grounds.
I grew up about 45 miles south of Lincoln, worked in Lincoln and Omaha (lived about a mile south of the Old Market for a year or so... Before moving on to Dea Moines.)
You even wandered past a couple of the things I did the drawings for way back when (pretty basic infrastructure stuff... 😏... Not exactly what a traveler notices...).
Merci, super, toujours beaucoup d'explications claires et précises. Thank you
Oh man you found some good shots today
I love learning History. History is my specialty. Also Good Morning it's me Kaleb from the live stream.
So refreshing to watch your videos very relaxing and positive energy ... especially during these crazy days /😷
