    Hey guys😊 first off, let me say thank you for your Channel we truly enjoy all of your videos.
    So we went tanking yesterday in Mullen, a decision based entirely on this video. Wanted to let you know, not only was it a complete blast, but Chris, the owner remembered you guys and went on and on to say how grateful he was for your UA-cam video on his operation. He was such a cool guy, very thankful for our business, and made the comment that he really needs to reach out to you two to say thank you for all the business your video has brought him. I thought you would really enjoy knowing that you have truly made a difference for him. (His words exactly.) ❤🎉 Keep doing what y'all do! You are appreciated for sure. 👍

    First comment to Adam: Congratulations to your hometown Houston Astros on winning the World Series! Second, an illustration of the difference y'all make goes like this: Me before A+K in 2019 - I go to Lincoln, I take a few pictures outside the capitol, I keep walking. Me with A+K in 2021 - I go to Bismarck, I go right up to the 18th floor in the capitol, I see things! One thing I did see in Lincoln was the Larsen Tractor Testing Museum since the University of Nebraska is world famous for testing tractors. They let me sit in a test mule, which was really cool. People back in Michigan were scratching their heads when I said I was taking a vacation to Iowa and Nebraska, but it was one of my favorite trips ever. I didn't know I was Bobbing, but I did it! I think I was there about a month before Omar got there and it was before the RiverFront renovation was done, so it's cool to see how that looks. I hope Field of Dreams in Dyersville is in your Iowa plans!!! They built it and you need to come! :) (And the whole Driftless Region along the Mississippi... beautiful.)

    • @AdventuresofAplusK
      @AdventuresofAplusK  Рік тому +1

      Hey James! We were just talking about you yesterday and saw that we never responded to this comment! Please accept our apologies!
      I was so relieved when they won! I actually didn't watch much of the series...only game 1 and the final 5 outs of game 6. I was a nervous wreck that whole week. Phew!
      We're glad we could inspire you to see even more! ND has a pretty cool capitol building. That tractor testing museum does sound pretty neat. Nebraska has a ton of cool spots that we got to see. We were pleasantly surprised!
      We definitely want to see the Field of Dreams! I hope the route for RAGBRAI goes through Dyersville. If not we'll still try to squeeze it in. They built it so we gotta go!
      Again, sorry for not responding for so long! We hope you're doing well and happy holidays!

    • @jameswaldecker1236
      @jameswaldecker1236 Рік тому

      Ah, so the RAGBRAI is the big plan for Iowa! Looking forward to this! Just don't forget baseball in the corn...
      No worries at all on not commenting - I know you're busy! In the meantime, you're inspiring even more of my travels. I have both family and friends in Albuquerque, so I'm doing a road trip from Detroit to ABQ and back. I hiked at Ha Ha Tonka State Park today and I loved it! It was everything you showed plus a natural bridge! Thank you as always!
      Tonight I'm in Hot Springs, Arkansas and I'll be hitting the national park tomorrow before moving on to OKC. 😀

    • @jameswaldecker1236
      @jameswaldecker1236 Рік тому

      Yes, today was a full day! I started by combining the Hot Springs Mountain Trail with Gulpha Gorge and Goat Rock. Then I hit the Grand Promenade and the Fordyce Bathhouse. I also touched some of the Baseball Trail. The rest of the day was inspired by your videos: Hawksbill Crag (just amazing in person!) and the Oklahoma City National Memorial at night (beautifully solemn). Staying in OKC tonight then on to Carlsbad tomorrow.

    We moved to Omaha about 3 years ago once my husband got his own truck. He’s OTR so we get exposed to some really beautiful places and some ugly. I will say though, I put my foot down with Nebraska. When we got here everything was so green and beautiful and we just blended in with the people. My son loves nature, so I’m always looking for somewhere to take him. This video is so helpful. We take random drives to Lincoln too. I wouldn’t ever move from here!

      Since my paternal grandpa was the only boy with 7 sisters, the Army kept him state-side during WWII (that mattered back then), & Fort Robinson was where he was stationed; he trained dogs to go overseas & fight. He actually lived his entire 95 years in Nebraska. Summer of 1989, after I finished 4th grade, my family took a vacation out to western Nebraska & my dad identified the window of a building that was where Grandpa’s quarters were when he was stationed there.

    Well, you certainly opened my mind about Nebraska! This is a great message about the "flyover" states. I LOVED the tanking sequence! That looked so fun! And btw, you got a glimpse of the past with those bugs on your windshield. Back before pesticides decimated our insect populations, getting your windshield covered in dead bugs was a daily thing (unless one lived in a city perhaps). Things really began to change in the late 90s. I can't remember the last time I had to clean bugs off my windshield, including during my travels around different parts of the country.

    What a wonderful and fun video. I was born and raised in Nebraska and feel you both did an amazing job of showcasing our state in 5 days. There are many fantastic things that you weren’t able to cover but rank so high on list of things to see and do. Ashfall, in the northern portion of the state, is a most incredible area that paleontologists from around the world come to see. It is a Pompei type setting where ash from a huge volcanic eruption 10 million years ago left incredible 3-D remains of rhinoceros, camels, horses etc. Truly one of a kind site that should not be missed. There is also a section of the Old Lincoln Highway in Elkhorn, just outside Omaha, that is still the original brick used in the first highway that ran across the United States! North Platte is home to the North Platte Canteen station that 2 to 8 thousand WWll troops passed through DAILY and were served meals and support by a town of only 1200 people, EVERY day of the war, open 24/7, free of charge by volunteer residents. Incredible historical story. Zoo is in the top 5 in the entire nation.If you are a visitor to Nebraska try to include these things in your itinerary. You won’t be sorry.

    Great episode. We drive through Nebraska a couple of times a year. The Sandhills region is super underrated. When you were in Mullen Adam was only minutes away from one of America's greatest golf courses, Sand Hills. Next time don't miss Oregon Trail Ruts and Register Cliff just across the Wyoming border in Guernsey, WY. Runza's are . . . um . . . different.
