The moment I saw the image of Encanto as Independent Number 1 I was like wtf? How? Leave it to Tom to provide the receipts. Disney can be classified as Independent? I find it awesome that The Brave came in at #4 when going up against a 97 Billion Dollar Company. However, it shows how corrupt and convoluted the Music Industry is. When my husband past 10 years ago every year I'd share a fav song from UA-cam to my face book page and family and friend would all comment this year your song about cancer really hit home so I posted it with a tribute to my husband and only 2 family members saw it that shows that UA-cam and Facebook control what people see and they don't share things they don't like, I think your a giant among little men keep up the good work

Facts . I've been a producer and mixing engineer for 18 years professionally (I work mostly with regional and independent artists but I've done plenty of major label work ) These are known barriers that in the past only have been over come by money or a familiar name and in the rarest of occasions hard work until the one of the first two happens. When I lived in Colorado, a local metal band Allegeaon gained traction (rightly so, Accelerated Evolution is one of the best prog metal songs second only to Persephone's The Majestic of Gaia), got signed to Metal Blade. Found them when MySpace was still big (I believe the CIA/NSA secretly bought out Tom to ruin MySpace to implement Facebook [U.S. Govt funded creation of]. They had to ask for donations, when their touring van broke down. The label was no help.
I was so excited for them signing{edit} with Metal Blade. I know now they were signed to be stifled and silenced. Global-Corpos tells society what society thinks they like.

I respect that Tom isn't making a big deal out of the fact that to cooperate with Billboard, he got rid of "packaged" deals on his site. Like you used to be able to buy the CD packaged with a shirt and other stuff, he's done that every CD release and I'm sure it brings in decent revenue. With this album he had to remove that so as to help the "data collection agency" count the album sales. He lost out on cash doing that, and he's not even really complaining about it and that's legit. Don't see anyone commenting on it either so yeah.

I have not been a fan of rap since the Sugar Hill gang in the eighties. I'm rapidly approaching my sixties, However I came across a short by Tom and was hooked due to his lyrics. The one that hit me the most was the system. I've learned about it 20 years ago and been fighting against it since then. I appreciate his work Immensely. I was on the fence about this dude, but he has won me over. He stands for what "We the people" should stand for. Life is rigged, this country is in tatters, and the system is vulnerable, if we could stop arguing amongst each other and focus on the real enemy. The government counts on us being distracted and is scared to death of the thought of the people united.
I've loved Tom since I first heard him, my few friends loved him so I got really into him too. But actually hearing him talk, seeing that he's just as smart in life as he is in his songs, I'm 100% on the Tom side now, not for music only. But as a person as well. I barely like anyone, so that's a huge compliment from me.
Ironically there's a line in A Bugs Life that high lights that very thing but allot of people don't seem to get. It's when the grasshopper was addressing the others, paraphrasing, " if the ants knew they outnumbered us, we would be in trouble." Not sure if our country is going to collectively wake up and take itself back from the scum that's holding it down. Would be nice though.

I've been a producer and mixing engineer for 18 years professionally (I work mostly with regional and independent artists but I've done plenty of major label work ) These are known barriers that in the past only have been over come by money or a familiar name and in the rarest of occasions hard work until the one of the first two happens. Bro as a 50 year old Heavy Metal/ Death Metal vocalist I learned just how crooked and shitty the music industry truly is. I went through it in the 90's and I learned very quickly how to stay away from them and their money grabbing hands. Well Done !!! & I hope your success continues !!!
When I lived in Colorado, a local metal band Allegeaon gained traction (rightly so, Accelerated Evolution is one of the best prog metal songs second only to Persephone's The Majestic of Gaia), got signed to Metal Blade. Found them when MySpace was still big (I believe the CIA/NSA secretly bought out Tom to ruin MySpace to implement Facebook [U.S. Govt funded creation of].
They had to ask for donations, when their touring van broke down. The label was no help.
I was so excited for them signing{edit} with Metal Blade.
I know now they were signed to be stifled and silenced.

I respect that Tom isn't making a big deal out of the fact that to cooperate with Billboard, he got rid of "packaged" deals on his site. Like you used to be able to buy the CD packaged with a shirt and other stuff, he's done that every CD release and I'm sure it brings in decent revenue. With this album he had to remove that so as to help the "data collection agency" count the album sales.
He lost out on cash doing that, and he's not even really complaining about it and that's legit. Don't see anyone commenting on it either so yeah.

I have not been a fan of rap since the Sugar Hill gang in the eighties. I'm rapidly approaching my sixties, However I came across a short by Tom and was hooked due to his lyrics. I was on the fence about this dude, but he has won me over. He stands for what "We the people" should stand for. Life is rigged, this country is in tatters, and the system is vulnerable, if we could stop arguing amongst each other and focus on the real enemy. The government counts on us being distracted and is scared to death of the thought of the people united.
I've loved Tom since I first heard him, my few friends loved him so I got really into him too. But actually hearing him talk, seeing that he's just as smart in life as he is in his songs, I'm 100% on the Tom side now, not for music only. But as a person as well. I barely like anyone, so that's a huge compliment from me.

Ironically there's a line in A Bugs Life that high lights that very thing but allot of people don't seem to get. It's when the grasshopper was addressing the others, paraphrasing, " if the ants knew they outnumbered us, we would be in trouble." Not sure if our country is going to collectively wake up and take itself back from the scum that's holding it down. Would be nice though.

We all support your battle to shine a light on the truth and I admire your courage. After listening to Part 1 of The Screw Job I immediately found the digital album and bought it for my son.
