Giving enemy bullets a little aura that hides nearby allied bullets is a really neat way to keep thing readable. Kudos to the dev for having a feature like that at all.

This game is so filled with references! Hahaha I loved the Egghead item referencing TBoI players and Zenith with the Jojo's letters.

This is almost a bullet heaven and bullet hell all at once (and the music slaps ungodly hard)
And that was an only moderately broken run. Another of the Wholesomeverce (Wanderbots) has a number of runs on his channel (though come back here to see a more steady progression).
By the way… both the frogs and the bananas you saw here are hilarious mods.
It’s insane to me how much stuff is happening on the screen and, yet, the game developer has found a way to make everything crystal clear at the same time.
Everything you need to know is visually clear and distinct from everything else. The stuff that doesn’t visually matter (the currency you get from killing enemies) is very gray and bland. You probably don’t even notice it at all during gameplay, yet the visual is there in case you do want to see it.
Attacks are all color coded in the perfect way. They also tend to just visually have a different look to them. I’d love to do an experiment to see if I can tell the difference between attacks I need to dodge and attacks I need to block without having color. I think the missiles would probably trip me up, but everything else seems fairly distinct enough.
Even the two fire attacks that one boss was throwing out had just enough obvious difference in appearance and color despite both of them being “poorly drawn” (read: the good ole flash game hand drawn in 5 seconds look) imitations of fire.
Also your bullets just are so visually distinct from everything else I never got confused watching your bullets fly around the screen. It was kinda easy to just ignore them completely.
This game looks interesting! Brings me back to my middle school and high school days of slacking off in the computer lab.
This game looks incredible . Definitely adding it to my wishlist. Ima sucker for games with a ton of syerngies . Makes them so much more replayable

Ive broken it so many times and its just so fun lmfao. I had endlessly penetrating frog bullets that teleported to my cursor and attracted enemies to them while also my cursor attracted enemies. It melted the final boss by stacking a crap ton of frogs just endlessly smacking him to death.

I really hope someone reads this and remembers a game that is VERY similar to Paper Planet.
I think it was a game released in the 2000s and had the premise really similar to the game in this video. We had to play as a spaceship, protecting the earth from asteroids and aliens. I have completely forgotten the game’s name and I wish someone in the comments would remember it. I know for sure it exists!

that was a good run but nothing compared to a run where i got more than 400 firerate in the demo also can't wait for the full game to come out
What's cool about this one is that you can have a seemingly broken build, yet you'll still have a challenge and can lose. In a lot of bullet heavens, once your build becomes broken you're basically guaranteed a win. Doesn't seem to be the case with this one and that's awesome. Other games need to take notes.

My first epi doesn’t have the game title because it’s much better for views. It’s in the description, tags, and metadata of the video so it’ll still show up in searches if you search paper planet
Heya, idoit here, Ive been playing paper planet for a couple days now, and I only just realized that there is a planet selector, as well as different gamemodes. These options are, however, not available to me. Any ideas? Did Olexa get some kind of key from the dev to play a more "advanced" version? I'd appreciate any help, so thanks in advance.
I have the full release version a couple weeks early yup. You’ll have access to these things in the full release version Aug. 21st
by the way, at least in my opinion, 20 mtd has been updated so much it's pretty fun and ends up feeling kinda like this

I like your videos and games you showcase but you talk so incredibly slow and taking big pauses to think (I understand that you don't have a script
and just try to think on the fly), you keep repeating what you just say and the only way to watch you is in 1.5 speed. Which is easy to do, so I'm loving your content, but maybe try writing a script beforehand?
