Gatling guns look so imprecise that its almost a feature and not a bug. Having them shoot in the same direction they are placed from core, makes cone of fire smaller. Having them angled to side and cover the next turret in the murder konga line might improve field of fire. And as you said - the idea might be to aim as little as possible.
I really love channels like yours that does these sorta "lets check out" type videos because it lets me find new games in the middle of burn out from usual games haha
I love how you never played and it was all new and you didn't know anything about it but got the gatling gun and knew what it was before using it to see its ability lol.
This tickled my engineering brain and I bought the game. I don't know if my game bugged out and kept going indefinitely but I did way over 6 waves, maybe 12+ and then lost electricity before I could screenshot. Here's my build, SPOILER ALERT: As a comment said there is an auto aim core, it's round with 3 green input, not the one with 2 piston. Your priority is then to get 4 of those cores at 4 corners very close to main piston and place machine gun modules on them. That's an ongoing main aim as they seem to be very rare to spawn. Next get cables, 1 manual crank -> (into) 4-way splitter -> 4 batteries -> 4-way splitter -> each of the 4 auto cores. You start with 1 battery -> 4-way splitter -> auto cores and expand them as you get more. Basically your auto cores are near and powered by the main piston and your batteries. As the orcs get close you almost fill up the batteries and wait. When you see the turrets start auto targeting you then release the battery power by making it full which will then give your turrets more power so more attack speed and keep manually cranking until they are all dead. Rinse and repeat. You can improve with each turret having multiple small power pistons hooked to it with a splitter to move away from manual cranking but this is also ongoing as they are rare.
Definitely want to see more of this!! Seems, the bar power thing was probably a load balancer. The battery was likely a capacitor. Definitely curious to see more of this game.
this game has a lot of potential i can't wait so see how it could get even better at release and what you can do after you actually get good at the game. something like you get a bonus every couple of rounds that allows you to get a choice of repairing something or get an extra piece, maybe some utility that auto aims your turrets but costs you energy and can only connect to 1 weapon or animation/visual that helps you more easily see how charged your weapon is.
This seems like a really cool game I like the whole management aspect for your own management system I think you should put all the power in the middle and split all ur cables off of the middle. it also seems like the power does split up so if you have enough cables the splitters seem kinda useless
The one you called an 'amplifier' appears to more accurately be a 'capacitor'. It 'eats' all charge sent towards it, only to suddenly release all of it once it's full. So you'd expect anything on the other end of it to essentially have a long cooldown in between bouts of vicious rapid fire.
I think enemies will move toward closest powered turret, you can use them as bait, especially those outdated guns, put them far away, 3 should be enough(top, bottom left, bottom right). then have better guns keep shooting at those 3 baits should eliminate most if not all enemies.
This game is ticking a lot of boxes for me. Also is this a new engine that I'm not aware of? This UI/graphic design seems incredibly similar to 1 or 2 other recent games I've seen. Specifically SNKRX which is another great game.
@@SoulMuncher17 I guess it's more of this art style has somehow become a bit more popular or maybe there's an asset pack with this kind of art? I don't really know but it could also just be a coincidence that quite a few of the recent games have fairly similar art/graphic. But regardless I like it. This design is good. The hyper realistic graphics has become boring to me.
Yo, run it back where you just super pump one module / core with all the power using those utility modules to amp. The Idea I'm having is 4 inputs into an output into a 4 core base allowing you to do this 16 times and more if you get a utility plugging into a utility.
One thing im interested to try is trying to use the switch and the a battery (which you thought was an amplifyier) if your ontop of it you can unleash a full volley on command otherwise
Keeps crashing on me about every 2 minutes. Always seems to be when I have a battery/capacitor feeding into a tesla coil. Love the idea of this game though.
This game is definitely more Targeted towards people with the basic understanding of how electricity works I think Cause it seems like all those utility pieces are like different ways to make circuits and And splitting signals or amplifying signals or storing power in my opinion
Did Not watch the full video yet but i think there should be an upgrade for auto aim since it looks horrible with the current slow Turning rate with the mouse. If you could like bind it to a key and then just aim with Ur mouse on the point where it should shot now that would be Hot But maybe theres more in the video:D
sorry this looks annoyingly unoptomized, if anything they should make it so all turrets follow your mouse, and yes they need an indicator of where enemies are coming from, also music needs some work, i was kinda going insane listening to that over and over, at least have a different sound for when your fighting and when your at a round end. I get it's alpha and all, but they have like no quality of life implimented, which to me is what you need to focus on first, if your game isn't fun to play then you dont have a game.

Why would it be a bug?
I really like how the power generators made up the beat of the music, giving a different tone to the attack phase

You could just add a switch so you don’t have to wait or use a crank
I don't know if you noticed, but the circular core has auto aim
appreciated, extremely easy to miss when managing 8 things at once lol
You shouldn't really be able to to turn it manually.
@@SamuSeen that'll ruin the management system in this game

I would love to have this, it’s the perfect mix of amazing customizability and not just pure engineering or coding or math.
Series, please!
Great vid! Would definetely like to see a miniseries on ooglians
As someone that loves to make things automate themselves in games, this game looks like something I couldn't manage xD

Good use for the switch then. Capacitor into switch into tesla tower for emergency defense
@@olivermharris_ you can charge it between waves with a crank
A lot of micro management...
I mean, yeah. It is sort of the core mechanic that you have lots of parts to manage lol.
@@Retromation Yeah, will try for myself ^^ btw you still have part of your Vampire Survivors text in this video description :)
So Koreans will love it
Cable management has never been one of my strengths. This game would destroy me, no question.
Apparently you can shove enemies around when you are holding an end of a cable and just bumping it into them
Or with random utility pieces/cores(they will smack a core so do not recommend)
With a core its better to lead them on a wild goose chase after it
22:04 your Tesla couldn’t reach no wander you were dying

this looks like it just needs a teeny bit more polish, the old turrets REALLY need to be able to be destroyed, but I think I will actually buy this
Looked quite fun with a decent amount of experimentation
OH THIS IS GONNA BE MY JAM!
I stumbled across this game when browsing steam... then found your vid when I didn't know what I was doing🙈
oogaly doogaly, this looks schmoogaly!
what about a series of this one when it releases? super cool concept, and please don't lose your mind over OCD (it was very funny though)
7 mins in and the turrets not auto-aiming is giving me slight anxiety! lol Interesting game to say the least.
At 27:22, I think those are AND OR gates. Seeing a lot of Engineering references here. 🤔
Oh wow this game looks sick
Crazy game but interesting.

snkrx used a custom engine
This game (and most similar games) are made with Unity. SNKRX is an exception, and is a custom engine afaik.

i wonder how rare the circle one that auto aims is you had 1 but another wasnt showing up
Quite rare from my playthrough.
Fresh.... => Good game !
I love this game
You should go one turret all the power and just spin it
This is pretty rough. They need to add auto aiming.
35:18
Your didn't notice it buy the turret in the top right towards the end had a core that auto aimed the gun
I think the game would be cleaner if it was set up in a grid
idk why but the music reminds me of ben 10 ultimate alien for the psp

Way to much Mico management for this type of game. The fact guns don't auto target is horrid.
