I'm sure he was confused because it seemed like I just switched all of a sudden, but victims don't always behave the way ppl think they should. Sometimes it takes a while to stop being in denial of what u went through, actually feel those feelings, mourn for that child who left that day, & then go about the business of putting yourself back together.

I really felt that should’ve been included in the documentary as well. A lot of information has been highlighted and brought to the forefront because of the documentary.

Sparkle has been with him since she was like 15 herself. We gotta cut her some slack. She was being controlled just like the others. I'm a victim of sexual abuse & I TOLD. My family, however, acted like it was still ok to have him at family functions, so in my 12, 13, 14 yr old mind....maybe it was ok. So I engaged him as if nothing happened. When I was 17 or 18, I realized it was NOT OK & immediately stopped speaking to him or even looking at him. I'm sure he was confused because it seemed like I just switched all of a sudden, but victims don't always behave the way ppl think they should. Sometimes it takes a while to stop being in denial of what u went through, actually feel those feelings, mourn for that child who left that day, & then go about the business of putting yourself back together.
