Edited version of recount and footage of our epic 3 day kayak camping trip on the 7 mile long Section 2 of the Chattooga River over Labor Day weekend 2023 which culminated with an unfortunate accident of me breaking my ankle the last day at our river campsite. We had no cell phone service and still had several miles of paddling to get me back to the car at the takeout. It was 2 days of absolute bliss on this beautiful mountain river and 1 day of disaster.
Thanks Tyler, James, and Jerry for an amazing weekend and for getting me out of there in one piece.
Special thanks to my parents, and also Dr. Wessinger, Dr. Alli Hunt and Dan Hunt for much needed advice and guidance on seeking medical care the day of the accident.
