- Welcome to another episode of Trailmakers! Today we are doing a plane battle! One person will be flying a large and cumbersome cargo plane, while 2 people will be attempting to shoot the cargo plane out of the air with their own fighter jets! Whoever can last the longest as the cargo plane wins!

Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

that's because drag is way stronger in this game than it should be, so even a twr > 1 is going to be sluggish, especially in larger craft

This kind of asymmetric competition is cool, hope you'll do more.
Something I've noticed is that Scrapman makes very angular designed builds with a lot of triangles
Kan makes very minimal builds with the least amount of stuff
Kosmo makes stuff based on real life vehicles
Kosmo made the Red Baron (Manfred Von Richthofen) basically
i predicted that scrapman was gonna take kan’s wing off 1 minute before he did it
Do more of those asymmetrical challenges, even in 4 players, like 2 on one big freighter, and 2 on planes.
This was honestly one of the best and most entertaining trailmakers videos to date
YOOO LES GOOOO!! I did this with my friends prior to the video and I was really hoping Scrapman would do this. For our version, we used the planes to blast a hole into the back of the cargo plane and then the goal was to get inside the plane and roll the cargo out the back of the back of the plane. (This was all in scrap mechanic tho)

if you want to do a camouflaged plane for the sky in the middle of the day, use solid or camo textures with cyan and light blue trim and use mini thrusters since they dont have a trail of smoke and the blue flame blend sin with the sky, it also blends in with the water too so you can do the same for sea vehicles, just use solid colors only
Two seater plane dogfights would be cool. Have one person piloting while another operates a turret.

scrapman-king of air
kosmo and moonbo- kings of water
kan- king of nothing
Kan- king of small boxes
more fitting if Kan was "Jack of All Trades"
Man is the king of slabs
"Pretty slow" he says as the 600kg plane ascends vertically at around 100km/h
He's bo wrong tough, 100km/h is the slower than ww1 era planes
Suggestion: 2v2 Plane vs. Ground Base.
The Plane:
Person 1: Builds the plane which Person 2 later controls.
Person 2: Builds the weapons on the plane.
(At least 1 turnable turret with 4 small guns)
8 small guns or 4 small guns and 1 big cannon total. Later the turret or the turret pair is controlled by Person 1.
Ground Base:
Person 3: Builds a turret with 4 small guns for Person 4.
Person 4: Builds a turret with 1 big cannon for Person 3.
If the Ground Base team still has some time left, they can protect their base (from the workshop) with some additional armor pieces.
If the first round ends quick, it will be a best of 3.

Discovered your channel and trailmakers through this video. Today, I’m happily subscribed and making ridiculous tanks.
For the turret on the front, I would have had the rotation of the barrel a lot faster, it looks aesthetically pleasing, and somewhat helps accuracy

do a cooperative challenge, where one person is in a plane to do the sky part of the race... a boat that plane deploys the so someone in there can do the water part... than the car drives off the boat... :)

Scrapman's cargo plane actually nearly perfectly recreated an allies-axis battle in which a B-29 had a collision with a Bf-109, a german fighter, which nearly completely sawed off the tail of the aircraft's fuselage. However, the B-29 managed to land the aircraft, even with it's tail almost detached.

Please make a fighter jet ejection seat. PPLLEEEAAAASSEE!!!!
This might work with two gimbles and a seat. You could set one to be weak and the other to be strong. The weak is always on after launch, and the strong is triggered by you. After being detatched by the same button for the strong gimble, you can gently float down on the weak one. It might take a good bit of tuning, but I think i'll try this.
@@samman987 I know that we can do it with a gimble but I wanted to see a realistic ejection seat. I want to see only thruster ejection seat... we definetly need gimbles for the landing. If this sounds a bit crazy, that's because I am a trailmaker noob.(I started yesterday and it lagging like crazy so I stoped)

I think the best strategy is flying as far up as possible, so that even if you can't fly/control the plane anymore, it takes longer to fall to the ground

Yooooo that extra hinge for trim control is an amazing idea! I can usually balance my planes in stable flight but there's always that little bit of too much down or up, and having a simple trim control like that is perfect! Can't wait to try that on my own builds tonight

They should really make vehicles more resistant to collisions because as soon as you make contact with anything, especially a player, you just kinda disintegrate. That or the thing you hit disintegrates and you stay completely unharmed
