That was really cool! I'm not real familiar with their music other than Itchycoo Park, which I heard on the radio and loved as a young teen. I'm more familiar with The Faces. I'm going to check them out and listen to their albums. Thanks Chlozy...groovy make-up!!!!
I was 10 years old when Lazy Sunday was released. The song blew me away (especially the half time section with the SFX) Arudi doodi doo Arudi doodi di day 😋. I instinctively knew it was a special song. When I later started playing keyboards & singing, I added it to my rep ☮💗
Chlozy, you have great taste, The Small Faces were one of the greatest british bands ever, love their early stuff on 'Decca Records' but can I suggest you also try one of their later singles 'Tin Soldier' ,what a tune !! one of the greatest songs of the 60's.
I met Ian he was a nice bloke.got to say that was well covered biography amazing you got so much into 6 minutes .look forward to next week's. Have you done the Kinks ?
Steve Marriet was a great guitarist. It's weird how some artists/bands never catch on across the Atlantic. Oasis, Small Faces, Paul Weller etc. Honestly, I don't know any of their songs. I have been meaning to listen to Ogden Nut....album but haven't yet. But thank you for the video because it makes me more curious!
For me, the coolest band ever! Fav song: Sha La La La La Lee. It bursts with energy and Ogden's is a masterpiece, first track to last. Also a big fan of Ronnie Lane's post Faces, Slim Chance stuff. SMALL FACES FOREVER!
Big fan of the Small Faces and the Who and Soul Music. My late Fathers building company rebuilt his home after the fire. Ive been a mod for years and Mini Cooper fan. i am 48 now. You missed out of lot of history of the band nice overview.
Steve Marriot was amazing. Small Faces did have a hit in America with "Itchykoo Park but Humble Pie was more popular here in the US. The Faces were most popular than Small Faces here too. Great Video.
Wow, I have not listened to these guys in a very long time. How fun it is to rediscover music all over again. Thank you for the reminder.
Interesting history of a fantastic band that unfortunately were under appreciated here in the USA. Thanks for sharing this!
😃Alright !! The Small Faces!!
The most underappreciated English band of that era. Very well done. Peace and Love, Terry and Julia Tutor
@@TerryTutor-cv3hh Thank you! I agree :)
