    They addressed most of the complaints people had with the Tini/Tip2 user interface. Props for that. Water resistance and button size are fair complaints. Not a deal breaker for me, though. It'd make a good gift, maybe a better gift with more color options than black and almost black.

    Not to forget that the flash light is totally functional even when attached to power source (while charging) ex attached to power bank or portable power source, i hoped that the key were back lit while operating ( they are while changing as indicator) and i wish that key chain attachment could rotate 360 degrees for easy maneuvering whilst hooked to anything.
    Great review, keep it up.

    Debating between this TINI 2 and the $10 cheaper TIP SE for EDC pocket carry. I consider these type of lights as small enough to always carry, like a Leatherman Micro, SAK Rambler, or similar. They’re 'something’s better than nothing' that requires minimal real estate and can be conveniently EDC'd when you feel your Spiderco and 1000+ lumen aren’t necessary at the time.
    From what I’ve observed about these lights;
    Both have USB-C charging, decent lumens, battery life, lighting presets and easily carried.
    The TINI 2 offers a charging port cover, the display, and a non-parasitic battery drain button lock feature.
    The slightly larger TIP SE has the multi-use clip for using on a hat or pocket and to cover the buttons preventing accidental discharge.
    The TIP SE is a really nice light and the $20 TIKI is also very interesting, but the TINI 2 is looking good for me with the what it offers.

  • @Valorius
    @Valorius Рік тому +3

    Turbo is for emergencies, its like these companies dont understand that. You need turbo to be INSTANT (no delay) on, with no cycling whatsoever.
    Everytime, without fail, maximum brightness.
    And any brighness shifts or stepups should be on a separate button.
    Such a shame that the UI (which is completely typical with modern lights) is unsuitable for the actual intended and proper use of a turbo function. In many ways, because of overly feature rich UI's, flashlights are actually going backwards.
    PS: I was an infantryman, private investigator and repossessor in the most violent city in America (2022) for a combined 25 years.

    • @Valorius
      @Valorius Рік тому

      that's a good comparison. We need something equivalent to leatherman skeletools for EDC, and they're seemingly all making the Wave plus.
      Heck I don't even like strobe mode. I want on, off, and then maybe a twistable head for a low output mode. With as much output as humanly possible. And that's it.
      Good review btw, thanks very much for posting it.

    Having a turbo mode that only works by holding the button down only is stupid. Not everyone has good finger/hand movement or strength to hold it down. Most other flashlights don't do this. They give you the option to do both. And when turbo is on it will just drop from turbo to high automatically. Dumb turbo functionality. And not having a detachable clip to attach it to a hat jeez Nightcore.

    "Small"????? PAL that is so irrelevant. Comparing it to voins and other lights. What DOES matter is how much "added size" it adds to the keychain e.g. 4-5 keys PLUS a key FOB PLUS whatever ever else you have attachced.....a rabbit's foot??? :) Lol11 Small....hehe....the real test would have been for hyou to add the Tiny 2 to your keychain and try putting it in his jeans pocket....stand and sit....try taking it out ...heh...good luck!! :)

      You seem as if you should be doing reviews on these lights. You have a lot to say about my opinions.
