Thank you for the comparisons with other brands and models. As someone who is looking for a pocket/key ring torch, this is an immense help. I like the info display on this model.
I have the aluminum version that I took off of my keychain after a couple months. The screen got cracked within a week and it constantly turns on despite being in full lockout mode. I gave a few away as Christmas presents and everyone else has the same issues. It is a nice light to have in a bag but not so much your pockets. I do like that you can use it while plugged into a powerbank. If you also buy the “Cstand cable” from Nitecore it does make a nice little lamp
Interesting, surprising the screen cracked - perhaps the original has some advantages as I've never had a problem with that one, being on a bunch of keys. Useful to hear some feedback
i hope the paint wont wash off. it did on my Tini, now the light bleeds all around. buttons included. the plastic parts of Nitecore are bad. on all my 5 Nitecores.
I think they used grey or darker plastic painted silver on the TINI, the TINI 2 might hold up better. Hard to say I know the TUP also had a bit of an issue with that too. I agree the plastic parts could and should be better
I have the standard anodized tini 2 in grey for a week and it's also scratched around the keys. I may return for the ss or ti version, which would scratch less?
They are both similar strength materials (stainless is slightly stronger overall), the Titanium is matt finish which will show marks more clearly. For some reason most torch finishes in Titanium are not glossy (it can be but they go for the dull look maybe better grip?) No real way to avoid some marks on these if you are using it with keys
@@MrBazReviews do consider the Fenix HM60R and its bigger brother the HM70R. These have the right mix of flood and spot where the flood is high CRI and gets quite bright. I have the smaller HM60R that works with regular 18650 and it is excellent for close-up work.
@@johndoe-vc1we I've not really used any Fenix recently, they did sent stuff in before from the UK, now they have no interest I did ask specifically and got a big blank back. Fenix global that is. So I've not been paying attention to what they offer
@@MrBazReviews the charging time of the TUP is quite long. 3h30 from what i saw in one review, compared to the T4k which is half as long. I might just wait for TUP2 with faster charging and USBc
@@johndoe-vc1we TUP is quite good, but my interest in built in battery models is fairly limited. If they had a way to change the battery pack easily for the user...
@@MrBazReviews how about the Nitecore UT32 then ? that one has my interest given its a 2 in one. And can be used without the headband. I've always wanted a right angled torch i could clip on to a shirt or trouser pocket.

I try to compare to others if I have some around, glad it helped. It's quite a useful model and the display might appeal to some

I should clarify that it was the outer lens that cracked. The LCD still works fine.
It is a nice little light despite looking so roughed up.
@@TwoRavens I might put one of these with keys to see how it holds up. The first one did alright, but of course has no screen!

@@MrBazReviews thanks, I think I will go with the SS as I like the black look, either way one he'll of the keychain light
Hey consider doing headlamp reviews.
I have done some, but I don't get offered that many. I will if I get ones sent. Typically, they don't do as well as torches

I like the style of these but don't own one I have the Tup and love it thx Mr B
The TUP is good, more power longer lasting battery. Maybe they'll do a new one of that! Thanks for dropping in

@@johndoe-vc1we I played with one it's pretty good, did look at the eUT27 also worth considering
Tini 2 or TUP? Opinions?
TUP is getting on a bit I had hoped it would get replaced. It's Micro USB too which is a bit of a pain
