Another great video. I’ve had a harmonica for years but never really knew how to play it properly. I could play simple songs by ear but was not playing single notes. With your lessons, I am learning how to play. My single notes are getting much better. I love music and use to play the guitar but lost the use of my left arm and hand after a stroke. The harmonica allows me to learn something new and It can easily be played with one hand. Not optimal but better than nothing. Thank you for all of your lessons and content on UA-cam.
Hey Tomlin... I have been playing for about a year now, learning mainly from you and a couple of others, and I want to give you a shout out for helping me on this amazing freaking journey! I tried Gusso, but he's so good that even when he tries to dumb it down, it still sounds amazing! Keep it up brother!
Hey! new player here. your videos have helped me out so much! thank you for the time you put into these videos! I'm really learning a lot and faster than other other instruments I've learned!
Hohner blues harp set of 5 arrived a few weeks ago, thanks to you making rapid progress. Hope to add some tasty licks to future recordings! Subscribed and thank you for your help!
Tomlin I'm loving your weekly profusion of harmonica lesson. They are always educational and excellent . I'm a total beginner so these videos are really helping me understand and play the harmonica beautifully with Soul!
When you are playing the warble are you timing it to the beat? By this I mean are you counting the number of back and forth for each beat or just going by instinct?
Hi Tom, is it possible for you to teach the harmonica riff for "Life is a Highway" by Tom Cochrane in your next video? Wanting to preform this, but no one has a how to on this, maybe you could be the first? Thanks, Thomas
Is it incorrect to warble by moving the tongue side to side between the 2 notes ?? Please answer as I’ve asked others this question but never got a reply. Many thanks Tom :) PS: In somebody’s comment on another video they say Little Walter did them by moving his tongue but I’m not sure if this is true ??
Since you are now engaged, you need to answer this question. It is about lips--should i just let them hurt and "toughen them up" so to speak, or keep them soft for the women? Or, are they not supposed to hurt and I am doing something wrong?
I’ve re-asked the same question here hoping to get a reply. I’ve asked other teachers but didn’t get a reply. In somebody’s comment on another video they say Little Walter did them with his tongue but I’m not sure if it’s true. When I warble in this way the warble sounds different to when I move my head or move the harmonica. Do you agree or do they sound the same when you do them? Thanks :)

Does anyone know what software Tomlin uses to create his tabs?
Hi Robert, it is Sibelius 7 :-)

Is it ok to use your tongue? I seem to be able to do it that way better most of the time!

Hello Tomlin,
Are you warbling on the beat? I mean, are all 3 hole draws during warbling on the beat, or are you doing this randomly?
BR, Johan
Cool !
Thanks Bernard!
hey
cool.
Cheers Michel :-)
In musical jargon, that is called a trill.
You call that a warble. I call it a trill
