Great work clearing what is, ironically, probably one of the easier levels of Halo 5! I know you guys are probably several levels ahead by now, but here are some tips to make life easier for you guys in the future: - In many of the levels of Halo 5, there are "secret weapons" in specific missions that can give you an edge. Think of them as improved versions of already existing weapons. Most notable of these are The Answer (a SAW with explosive rounds) on the mission Genesis and Talon of the Lost (a Needler that can be used on Vehicles and Prometheans) on the mission Reunion. There are more than these, though, so I recommend looking up the full list online. Halopedia has a dedicated wiki page for them with their locations. - As Joe figured out towards the end, the Suppressor (and, to an extent, the Boltshot) are more powerful than you would think. Both weapons have strong homing and are an absolute menace to Prometheans and vehicles due to their nature as hardlight weapons. Which leads into the next point... - Unlike the Bungie-era Halos, there are three weapon types in Halo 5: kinetic (human weapons), plasma (Covenant weapons), and hardlight (Promethean/Forerunner weapons). As in previous Halos, kinetic weapons are good for unshielded, organic enemies and plasma weapons are good for shields. Hardlight weapons, however, are effectively anti-armor weapons. As previously mentioned, this includes Prometheans and vehicles. They also help against Hunters' armor, but they're not as effective as kinetic weapons when hitting their "worms". - A smaller, less relevant point to make considering how uncommon they are in the campaign as a whole, but the Gungoose is incredibly overpowered, though not in the way you might think. While their frontal grenade launcher is fairly powerful, their true strength lies in the passenger (or back) seat of all places. When riding on the back of a Gungoose, you have infinite frag grenades. You can use this to effectively cover an area in constant explosions. If you can find one (as I said, they don't show up in the campaign a lot), make good use of them! - Knights can't be assassinated. At least, not initially. As you probably saw, the Knights are effectively the Promethean equivalent of Hunters in this game. However, their weak point are the orange circles on their "shoulders". If you destroy one, a large orange ball will be partially revealed on their back. Destroying both shoulders will fully reveal this weak spot. At this point, you can assassinate them, but it's probably safer to take them out from a distance considering that they're already at low health by then. - The Warden Eternal can be assassinated at low health, but again, it's probably not worth the risk. - Finally, in regard to the "down-but-not-out" mechanic, reviving another player doesn't give you or them their shield back in LASO. However, health is a different matter entirely. Unlike in Reach, your health (i.e. how many hits you can take without a shield) will recharge after a short time. Here's hoping these tips help you out in future episodes! The next level is not too bad...but the one after it is arguably the hardest level in the game. Have fun on Evacuation!
Figured I might as well so here's a Death Count - Alfredo: 24 Joe: 43 Michael: 53 aaaand Gavin: 107 there were a handful that were kinda ambiguous but I just tried to give the death to whoever got downed first or got instakilled (mainly gavin in the tank, so much), and included teamkills plus gavin's 4 deaths whilst peeing, and michael's 3 deaths whilst eating dog food, peeing, and googling knight back

Halo Infinite LASO is gonna be boring as shit lol Not only is there no Iron skull making co-op way easier, but bandanna is allowed for LASO in that one so the entire mode is literally just getting power weapons and spamming them with Infinite ammo.
@@Robbie_Haruna I'm doing Infinite LASO with my brother at the moment, and while it is much easier than even some of the other games on Legendary with no skulls, it would be damn near impossible without bandana. On LASO on Infinite, direct hits with rocket launchers don't kill grunts. Some combination of the skulls also fucks with the missions where you have to kill all the enemies to proceed. We've had to restart levels a few times because explosions literally throw enemies out of the valley you're in, which often doesn't kill them and therefore prevents you from killing all the enemies (being on another continent doesn't count as 'cleared from the area')
PRAISE THE PROPHETS! I feared this series had been abandoned on account of H5 LASO being so obnoxious but delighted to see the suffering will continue for at least 4 more hours
Unsubbed but put ‘em in the search bar every once in a while to check on these and play pals. Can’t believe they still have any funding after the content they’ve put out in the last few years.
I think the reason one of them is ending with so low score is if you watch the score whenever Gavin specifically is the last one down it sometimes gives him THREE betrayal score reductions when he definitely did not kill the others
They stopped after a while, I think in Reach (?), because they didn't want to count tactical deaths. Somebody has to try and go for the hard thing (like Gavin here with a button) and it was penalizing them for trying to help the team advance
I tracked the plasma deaths in episode 1 and 2 because it was just insta-deaths. I can see why they wouldn't tally everything. If a player dies in this game, it's either because they couldn't be reached on time, they insta-died, or there was a lapse in communication (like when Alfredo and Joe completely missed Gav and Michael saying they're down for 30 seconds). Plus, technically ALL players die if everyone is downed, but it's hard to pin blame for that on one event most of the time. That's especially true if the only reason other players went down was because the downed people are in a terrible spot. And _then_ there's pure accidents like Gavin's downed body rolling outside the battle boundary and killing him.
I was thinking the same exact thing. I can’t sit in a theater and watch Oppenheimer a 3 hour movie cause I’d get bored but 4 hours of guys dying hundreds of times in halo? Sign me up. 😂
