- The monsoon session of the parliament which largely remained ineffective came to an end two days before the scheduled date. The session aw fourth lowest productivity due to the logjam between opposition and the govt. While both the sides blamed each other for this, the taxpayers lost ₹133 crores. In this episode of the Editorial our Managing Editor Mr Sujit Nair shares his take on the matter.

Before 2014 the responsibility of running the parliament was with Ruling party as per late Arun Jaitly .After 2014 in Modi's New India the responsibility of running the parliament is with Opposition. "Wah Modiji Wah" you change the definition of democracy.

Late Mr Jetly said it is Govt. who has to run the LS and RS session. Mr Naidu cried ,while he when in opposition said BJP will not allow to run the parlment. Now they're in power. They are responsible. Now, this time King wanted to happen in this way, so that,he can run away from questioning of Corona mishandling, krishi kanoons, unemployment, inflation and so on. He was so lucky that Pegasus matter come to his rescue and session was washed away and purpose was served . We are fools to elect them hoping acche din will come.

Mr. Sujit Nair, the analysis, you gave, supported by figures, about the quality and quantity of time by our legislators while Parliament is in session, shows that they are least concerned about the peole they represent. Their air travel charges to and fro are met, their food and hotel charges are met. Without any sense priority on on priority for the people, they either sidelined with silence or fighting. Finally, it the people who are cheated, with no useful work done by them, and tax money wasted. They should paid for the number of hours of useful work done. Overall all this, a lot of dramatization, spontaneous or pre-planned, goes on, adding to the prevailing non-sensical behaviour. Thank you, Sujit Nair, for creating awareness in in people.

The farmers have been the enough trying to get the central govt to understand their views on the laws . The opposition is trying to raise this matter before the govt but they refuse to listen.
The common faces rising prices of every commodity and many face unemployment. The govt refuses to see the result of their decisions.

The incentives, perks and even some part of salary needs to be paid only when the parliament functions. Had that been the case a large amount of tax payers money would have been saved.

The Prime Minister is bloody well responsible to answer any question thrown at him. It happens in other countries. Why doesn't it happen in India? Is the Indian Prime Minister above his chair? As my knowledge no important bills passed,and many banking reform bills which is important are not able to pass.
Sadly ineffective laws cannot be deleted...when these people were in opposition they would not let one bill pass for years.
All the legislators are equally responsible for conducting the proceedings of the legislature. Never mind whether they belong to the Govt or the opposition. There are no excuses, because all of them derive the same sort of emoluments from the public exchequer. The sad fact is that there are no on the spot punishments in the form of denying them the perks and emoluments or terminating their membership of the legislature. This is what emboldens them to keep repeating the same offence time and again.

Adjournment motions on critical issues were blocked If these constition position holders are scared of Government, then democracy is being buried systematically in old Parliament House to jmake it a graveyard of democracy.. Mr. Sujit Nair you addressed a very important issue through this episode very nicely, very nice presentation but this is very unfortunate that people like you make commentary on such important matters related to life and death of common Indian citizen in english. The people who need to know all these things most might not be very comfortable in english therefore hindi would be more paritable to general and poor masses of India. I'm requesting you very humbly to make such episode's in hindi also. Mr Sujit, to give a straight answer to your question - who does the PM answer to is - "the people of India". He does express his views through his mann ki baat. And whether the people of India are satisfied with the given answer is confirmed by the "votes" they give. If the people have voted the PM with a bigger margin in 2019 than the previous election in 2014 it means that the people of India are very much satisfied by his answers.
