WOW Rex, what a great presentation of the Sulpher Springs tower. I grew up a couple of miles away and remember going to the drive in movies with my parents. I worked at that McDonalds across the street during high school ( GO BIG RED) and remember shopping at the K-mart. Especially to get my Halloween costumes. What great memories you have brought back. Thank you sir.

@@Hillsboroughhistory who is doing the droning and what software are you using to edit? I just started a multimedia authoring (video editing) class at HCC. This is exactly what I want to start doing. Looks GREAT

The first time I saw the tower I was nine years old riding in a car on I-275 and I thought it was a lighthouse. And looking at the newspaper ads from the 1960s it appears that The Tower Drive-In had more interesting movies than Hollywood has produced in the last twenty-five years.

We climbed it in 88 or 89. The ladders were all rotted and rickety being from the 1920's. We knew we were lucky we made it down. The ladders were falling apart as we climbed.

Do something about the goody goody's drive in.
I took classes at Brewster and got my ged at Hillsborough high building near Buffalo and central. You could get in and climb around through the late 80s.

Nothing new being built. All the rich people today and no one wants to build something great?
