    Slow burner that turned into a really good podcast. The guy spoke quite deep about himself which resonated.

    1 of the biggest takeaways from DN podcasts is that the counselling/emotional intelligence programmes in jail have really benefitted a lot of man ✅✅✅

    My goodness, this guy’s humility and self-awareness is second to none! I have so much respect for him being able to admit to, own, understand and interpret his thought process.
    I’m sorry, but his father let him down big time. His life could have been SO different had he had a half decent father.

      Can't just blame his dad. I'm sure he takes responsibility for his own actions. I know people that had much worse upbringing n not gone that way.

    Wow, some NUGGETS here from this guy and only 8 minutes in.
    His said his dad’s toxic and violent behaviour was fascinating to him as a child as it deviated from the norm and he knew it was wrong. That’s such an important point of how people can know something is wrong but become fascinated by that same thing because of it being diametrically opposed from the norm.
    Second thing he said was how he found a brotherhood that reaffirmed his bad behaviour. That’s the terrible things about gangs. They tend to be people without boundaries, without self-discipline, without self respect or respect for anyone else. They won’t call each other out for this behaviour, rather it’s all gold stars in their school of gangs.

      Agree I don’t think people get involved in gangs who have been taught respect and given love from a young age

    Can’t lie, this was boring. The guy left out so much important information, what’s the point in giving a interview with minimal info? And as a interviewer, you have to ask the right questions and have confidence, especially when the person you’re interviewing is boring. All the erm erm is just so unprofessional and lacks confidence.

    • @delinquentnation
      @delinquentnation  8 місяців тому +19

      Sorry you feel that way.. you have to bear in mind that I’m not a professional, I’ve had no training, I’m just an ex offender having a conversation with another ex offender.
      The minimal info was for legal reasons, I was told prior to the interview that probation could up his risk so I have to respect that his license conditions are more important than an entertaining interview. I feel even without providing the extra info he’s still got an inspirational story and tells it very well.
